He'll probably start on wednesday against CSKA. Champions league or premier league, both are very important comps and both rashford and martial are doing well

It's the early days of a cup competition, as soon as it gets serious we'll revert to our first team, which means Martial as second choice (at best).

My point remains the same, the only reason we're having a discussion about a "competition" is because Martial has done well coming off the bench so far. It'll soon fade off, it's pretty much impossible to deliver goals and assists consistently like that over time as a sub averaging 10mins per match. It'll no longer be a debate about starting Martial since he's not performing well as a sub and that's it. Rashford is clearly first choice, even his horrible performance against Everton doesn't result in changes, so it's pretty clear he has to perform equally bad over a long period of time to risk losing his place, and that doesn't even mean Martial will get a decent chance with consecutive starts.

As i've claimed, Martial will be limited to coming on as a sub, a few starts here and there, he'll be miles off from making the French National team and he'll push for a move and get it.

People have this absurd notion that part of this is due to Mourinho having such higher expectations for him, like he's about to shit unicorns

Disagree. Pretty much been rotating starts with Rashford and that'll continue most of the season. Rashford is obviously slightly ahead for Mourinho but I wouldn't say he's very far. They'll both play a pretty similar amount over the season I would guess, I'm just hoping Mourinho tries them both out in the same side soon as it could be devastating on the break.

The man that sells players who want to leave. Shocking stuff.

The key here is why they wanted to leave in the first place. De Bruyne is currently one of Guardiolas most important players at City, playing well, while Lukaku is one of our most important players at United... I'm sure chelsea supporters are well happy about that..

He's not pretty much rotating when Rashford has 5/6 starts in the league vs 1/6 while Martial is getting a cup match...

Unless there's injuries, i don't think Martial is going to get consecutive starts in the league

If you really want to know why De Bruyne left, google it. It was out of Mourinho's hands. Lukaku wanted to play first team football, which is fair enough. If Martial wants to leave rather than fight for a place good luck to him. No player is bigger than the club or more important than the manager.

I couldn't give a shit what Chelsea supporters think.

Martial would end up wanting to leave if things continue this way and it definitely won't be his fault. Mourinho would then have to sell him. Why is this so difficult for you to figure out?
It's not difficult to figure out, I just don't care.

Out of Mourinhos hands :lol::lol:

It's not much of a fight if the manager doesn't have any long term plans for you.

Ferguson got slaughtered for how he handled a young and immature Pogba, but apperantly Lukaku and De Bruyne, easily two of the best players in the Premier League, were out of his hands and not a result of his style. Good one.

Just your opinion. Caf wanted to sell Fellaini/ Young in every seasons yet they're here, starting games for us.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. De Bruyne didn't leave for footballing reasons. I said google it. I also didn't say that Lukaku leaving was out of his hands.

What has that got to do with I said?

I don't want Martial sold and the majority of the CAF probably don't even want him sold either so I really don't understand what you're on about.

"I've no idea and I don't care [why he never convinced Mourinho]," he said. "I waited four months, then I said to myself that wanted to play football every week.

"I couldn't get the game time I wanted, so leaving was the obvious choice.

That's not why he left. Google 'De Bruyne', 'Courtois' and 'girlfriend'. Maybe then you'll see why he wanted to leave Chelsea.

 Yes, i'll rather believe the love triangle gossip as the reason for him leaving, and that it was just pure coincidence that he wasn't given any time on the pitch so he could use that as an excuse, and that Mourinho is in on it

Good one

As i wrote
" i'll rather believe the love triangle gossip as the reason for him leaving"
You called it 'gossip'. I just posted an interview with the lady in question who admits it happened.

It isn't gossip. It happened and De Bruyne, understandably, didn't feel like staying at the same club with a teammate who, well, you know what he did.

"As the reason for him leaving".

De Bruyne says he wasn't given a proper chance by Mourinho, Mourinho blames him leaving on De Bruynes mentality and says that De Bruyne doesn't like to compete for a place in the starting lineup.

But all of that is pure coincidence, because De Bruyne fecked someone else and his girlfriend ended up fecking Thibaut, so that's why he left to join a club in germany. Good one

What the f*ck do you think he's going to say?

"I decided to leave Chelsea because our 'keeper is banging my missus?"

You're adorable.

It's piss funny that you'll choose to believe that, over De Bruyne and Mourinho and how it correlates with time on the pitch, but it's probably a well thought out plan from a wounded footballer who was fecking someone else :lol:

It's absolutely hysterical that, given what you now know, you actually believe he left for footballing reasons.

Anyway, time for you to go on ignore before we make this thread any worse.

He really isn't though. It's pretty obvious that he's getting the nod ahead of him because of his workrate. Martial is the much bigger talent of the two.
Maybe he is, but rashford was the better choice because workrate and movement are more important when playing wide left.

Needs to come on in the second half, he will have a lot of joy against their RB.

Come on man, they're not rotating. Mou is starting Martial in cup games while reserving PL starts for Rashford, that alone shows that the latter is first choice.

Starting in the group stage of CL isn't indicative of Martial being preferred as a potential first choice. Rashford has 5 starts to 1 for Martial in the most meaningful games we've played this season(PL).

You think workrate is more important than technical ability? because I certainly don't.
Technical ability without work-rate is someone like Balotelli. It's definitely very important.

Should come on about 60mins in imo. Game looks made for him.
