@VeevaVee also that what you've said it would be a waste playing our best player in a position that doesn't suit him. Haven't we been doing that with Pogba in like forever?

BTW don't know if you've seen that chart that one of the posters has uploaded, it shows that Sanchez is basically equally as productive on the right as he's on the left.

For me personally and I reckon a lot of UTD fans DDG is our best player.
 
Best player from our side and from the right... Cant really understand why is he playing right though, did he play a single game from there before Sanchez came? Put Sanchez on the right, please.
 
On here a player can only be worldclass or dogshit. Laughable.

Aapart from the finish his game was ok. Nothing special but also nothing too bad. Just like everyone else.
 
If anybody can find a still of him trying to finish the one on one, there's one on the BBC live updates, it's just dreadful technique.
 
Has to score.
But that's the problem with our approach.
The pressure to score every chance is great because so few come by.

We brought in Alexis. Mourinho has said before that he didn't like to play Martial and Rashford together as we didn't have a pacy option from the bench.
 
Poor miss and a very average performance. Not sure he offers more than Mata wide right. I'd switch him and Alexis.

He's far too limited on the right, not taking on defenders as he is on the left, not playing those little intricate passes, no really involved as much as he is on the left. You said it yourself, he's just "fine".
 
His finishing at times really is poor, in particular when he has time on his hands. When it comes to instinct he is excellent in front of goal. Just hope that miss doesn't cost us today.
 
His finishing has always been inconsistent, contrary to a common narrative in this forum. Too many times, he hits it at the keeper of doesn't make it difficult for them.

His conversion rate is one of the best in the league...
 
Playing on the right he seems to penetrate more. He’s making runs inbehind which for me is one of his issues when on the left that he doesn’t make enough runs behind without the ball. But overall yeah not a great finish but he has played quite well.

I'm not sure inconsistent is the word I'd use. Cutting in off the left bending it in to the far corner I'd back him 9/10, any other sort of finish he has never consistently delivered. Did anyone really think he was going to score?
 
He would have buried that chance if that was on the left side. He really has to improve his finishing though, he can't place every chance on the far corner with his right foot.

Prior to today he had one of the best conversion rates in the league along with Sterling.

That was bad though.
 
I must be watching a different game to everyone else??
He has contributed absolutely nothing yet,it is his usual drifting in and out of a game.
 
He’s not a killer and he just doesn’t want it as much as the other elite young players in the world.
 
Don't think you can really blame him for not scoring there, he had about half a second to react to both and they had 2 players on the line in the only place he could have put it.
 
Why did he not keep the ball in play?

We are terrible at corners. Much better to have 1v1 in penalty area.
 
Not knee jerk but I don’t think he is all that.

He’s vastly overrated by united fans.

He's the definition of a marmite player, people can't go on about him being on the right either because he was even worse when he went central.

Poor technique when striking the ball, poor technique when running with the ball, it's like pinball (goes anywhere).

I just don't get the hype with him.
 
Cost us the game but of course will escape criticism because he's not a Jose signing, Pogba and Lukaku will get all the abuse.

The most overhyped United player by our own fans in the last 5-10 years.

He had three clear cut chances and fecked them up. Lacazette is getting labelled a flop and a “fraud” for doing similar with one chance.

Not good enough. Simple as.
 
Yeah he missed chances but a far bigger threat than anyone bar Sanchez in that game.
