Don't know if he is tired but he looks like he has lost a lot of pace.
Spot on, and considering he's pretty much on his own, he did well to turn Everton defenders and win unequal battles.

Have to say I am a big Martial fan and think he has talent to be something special, but honestly he is a bit of an enigma. There are times when he will make a run in to space and ok he doesn’t get the ball and he gets frustrated. Then there are moments when you’re watching and I’m asking myself why aren’t you making a run to there Martial when it’s an obvious run.
What’s worse is occasionally play is building and you notice he isn’t on the last shoulder of the defender when really he should be but instead he’s jogging in to midfield when Pogba, Mata, Lingard and Herrera are all in front of him with the ball.
I think we really need to get a striking coach in for this guy just to help him with what runs to make and when to do them, other than that he’s had an ok game.

Of course, he will have the same problem than Lukaku, playing Martial as a CF won't magically make creative wide players appear.

Play the pass into him sooner and he will cause damage. Instead we keep avoiding passes into the CF. With his touch you can trust him with the ball.

One has to play in the centre. Mourinho isn’t going to lose a player in midfield to play 2 upfront.
Well that's a problem if he won't even consider it.
I maintain that the best we looked was when we played 3-5-2 with Martial and Lukaku as CF, Martial drifting a bit to the left. I maintain that we would look the best if Pogba was the one behind 2 strikers (Rashford as 3rd striker to rotate with Martial and Lukaku) and with quality box-to-box CM next to Matic with Herrera as the backup for both. Add proper wing backs and we would suddenly look like a proper team.
I don't think we need typical wide players, if we setup as the case being today. play 3 attackers, one more central (Lukaku) and two free flowing attackers withe flair and trickery running off Lukaku. with the 3 man midfield played today allows the fullbacks go forward and produce width in attack. these thing additional to Pogba drifting left and right to create. could see players like Martial and Rashford coming closer to goal
Mate, even a Chelsea supporter said playing with Martial instead of Lukaku is almost like playing with Morata. There is no contest, Martial is technically superior to Lukaku even despite being raw.

How him not running into channels have not been addressed by the coaches is beyond me.
He's clearly the most talented attacking option we have in the club but needs to improve the way he positions himself when off the ball.

He's my countryman and I would obviously like another Serb in United shirt but I am not sure. He is too much like Pogba, which isn't bad obviously and not a slight on him, but I think we need someone who's more CM then #10. I would rather have Veratti or Saul or someone like them. But then again, he's 22, if he can develop more like a proper CM he will be absolutely lethal in the position. Question is, can Matic handle the midfield with two Pogba-like CMs infront of him?
You saw that finish. A man utd striker must have the ability to get on the scoresheet on days like this with moments of magic. You can't always have chances fashioned for you on a plate

It's been an issue with our players as long as I can remember going back a long time into Ferguson's reign as well. It's bizarre.
This. He is at good at a lot of things. IMO he should play as a second striker instead of as a lone CF. A good attacking coach will really sort him out.
