Always a CF as much as Lingard was always a CAM
If Jose just follows the LVG framework we would be better off

This. Once Lukaku comes back we are going to start playing Moyes ball again. Long-term we probably made a mistake in signing Ibra too, Martial could have had one more season to improve as a striker. But can't really complain as Ibra did deliver us a couple of tinpots.Really wish we gave him the chance to play as a number 9 more often this season, and I'll even dare to say wish we had spent the Lukaku + Lindelof money into a proper RW and some backup number 9 that would be sharing minutes with Rashford.
I also think he’s a CF and we should build around a two pronged attack with him and Lukaku.
Our most talented attacker by far. Dissapointed he was subbed again. Needless sub
It is clear as day that he should be ahead of rashford in playing as a striker, his link up play and surprisingly hold up play is better than Rashford and lukaku. I think if given enough chances he can shine in that role.
I don't find his hold up play surprising at all. Along with Matic and Valencia he's the only one who can consistently hold off pressing players. Pogba can do it as well but sometimes gets a bit cocky and is dispossessed. It is clear as day that he should be ahead of rashford in playing as a striker, his link up play and surprisingly hold up play is better than Rashford and lukaku. Mou needs to be open to rotating his preferred players long before their form can bring down team results. Proper competition from Shaw, Martial and Lingard could encourage Young, Lukaku and Mkhi to raise their games. At least that's how Fergie used rotation.This. He's not a bloody winger.
They'll be back.
2019 but option of a further year. When does he contract run out?
Then I guess the club should start to negotiate that option.2019 but option of a further year.
It's weird, I'm not seeing some of the usual comments from some on this thread today, I gotta wonder...
Have to say I am a big Martial fan and think he has talent to be something special, but honestly he is a bit of an enigma. There are times when he will make a run in to space and ok he doesn’t get the ball and he gets frustrated. Then there are moments when you’re watching and I’m asking myself why aren’t you making a run to there Martial when it’s an obvious run.
What’s worse is occasionally play is building and you notice he isn’t on the last shoulder of the defender when really he should be but instead he’s jogging in to midfield when Pogba, Mata, Lingard and Herrera are all in front of him with the ball.
I think we really need to get a striking coach in for this guy just to help him with what runs to make and when to do them, other than that he’s had an ok game.
This. He is at good at a lot of things. IMO he should play as a second striker instead of as a lone CF. A good attacking coach will really sort him out.

Just twice the player Lukaku is. Was nice to see us without Rashford today as well, he loses the ball so many times and makes daft decisions. Martial is a proper player
Reel it in. Lol. The pass from Pogba made that goal.
