no need to be angry the sub means he will start against arsenal. rightly so he was great again.
His hold up play is actually better than Lukaku's. There were a few times he had his back to goal when the ball was played into him and he held off the defender and managed to find a pass where Lukaku, same scenario, lost the ball countless times. I genuinely think he'll end up as a number 9.
Shown on current form he deserves to start. And on current form should be started before lukaku

Look at who he's got around him. Would you release it when your options are Lukaku, Lingard and Mkhi?
Mata is not on his level, but when neither he nor Martial plays our game drops considerably. Especially Martial is good at keeping the ball long enough for other players to get into play. Rashford is more direct, which is fine, but Lukaku is also direct, and so that only works if the game opens up a lot. Something tells me Lukaku + martial and Ibra + Rashford.
When Martial came he showed such incredible hold up play as a striker. Then for some reason after playing on the left for a while, he never demonstrated his initial hold up play again which was just superb.
He's always had good hold up play, though i haven't seen him show at the same level as he did when he just joined us. Glad that part of his game is coming back.

Our best outfield player alongside Pogba. So much talent and it looks like the penny has finally dropped. He is on a crest of a wave and he is only going to get better now.
Once he got into the game he played really well and was clinical with the chance he got, I think coming off at 65 minutes was a sign of Jose seeing him as important for Saturday.

He should start regardless of formation. Any United attack without him at the moment would be inexplicable.
I think he starts however we play, even if it's alone up front with Lukaku coming off the bench with 20 or 30 to go to bully and run past tired defenders

Thought his positioning was interesting. It pretty much seemed like a free role to me.
I wanted Griezmann here to play behind Martial. The goal tonight pretty much was the reason why, he's a Henry-esque talent as a striker and we should look to get him involved more centrally as opposed to being confined to the left wing.
He's being wasted at United, being played as a winger-fullback ffs. I do think there are still some deficiencies, such as not quick enough with forward passing but then again in this Mourinho team almost everyone bar Pogba is guilty of that. Composed in front of goal, great at 1v1s, link up play, great technique for build and hold up, and awesome physicality. I am a United fan and always will be but if things dont change in 2 seasons he should probably leave for better opportunities.
