Actually it's true, just you find it hard to accept it. Martial wws brought on as a number 9 but was pushed to the wing because of emergence of Rashford in order so that LVG could play them both (Rooney was injured also) and because he's more versatile than Rashford, better dribbler.
He's the only mercurial player we've got and must be given the confidence he needs

Said it in the match thread but it's worth mentioning here, what Martial just did was every bit as good as anything Neymar did against Juve the other day. If he can get his head in the right place and get some confidence going, he'll be a serious threat cutting in from that left. He needs to go on and make that starting spot his own now.
Giving a consistent run im very sure the boy will show that kind of class everytime. Im confident you will see the best of him this season. Something magical about him when he gets in his stride. Literally wouldnt swap him for anyone. His potential is sky high. Honestly i reckon most of negative vibe he portrays is only due to his nonchalance demeanour. Easy to forget how young he still is. Given backing and trust he could become world class.

Probably my favourite player in the current squad. His ceiling is so high, I just hope he can brush off last season and get his full confident back, because him cutting inside from the LW with his pace and clinical dribbling will really take us up another level. Defenders know what he is going to do but when he's in full swing it's so effective and hard to stop.

Not a chance, Micky is good at drifting past multiple people when he has a bit of space and Pogba is good at beating his man in tight spaces but neither of them have the ability to do both at the same time.

Yeah theres no doubt that the issues with his ex-wife and their kid would have caused him a few metal scars, he went through a public and messy separation at the age of 19/20, but hopefully that's all behind him now and he can focus on his football again.
He's great at accelerating at speed and using his close control, speed and dribbling. Is he a little sluggish from a standstill though?

I just sat there with a big grin when I saw it during the game. That's incredible footwork and close control.
The very least of Jose's problems if any at all. Give him time and he develop that slaloming technique along with even better finishing.
He was visibly tired as the game went on. But poor isn't an adjective I'd use to describe him. All things considered, he was ok with definite room for improvement
He was making runs off the ball for the first 60 minutes, which was encouraging to say the least.
Maybe with the heat and all. The entire team was poor 2nd half as well.

I'd disagree with that, but no one really stood out for me attacking wise.
Assist aside that was his worst game this preseason. The team as a whole was shite. Mkhitaryan was dreadful.
How about Lukaku, was he any better?
I thought he was decent. Involved in all our good attacks and had a moment of brilliance.
Like the rest of our attacking players, barely saw the ball in any meaningful position.
