Only Martial could have done that. I think it's mental issues with him, he seems like he has the mind of a tortured artist. Who is he close to in the squad? He needs to become part of Pogba, Lukaka, Lingard crew.
That's not true, Martial moving to LW was more about the failure of Depay, which let LVG off with his cowardice towards Rooney. If Memphis played well, Martial would have had to fight with Rooney up too, which he would have won easily.
He's the only mercurial player we've got and must be given the confidence he needsThis is why we must persist with him, probably the only one in our current squad that can pull that shit off.
shame that we don't see that more often. Kids clearly got talent, but he needs consistent application of it and to keep being unpredictable when taking on defenders.. the easy way out is to just keep cutting inside, but he needs to put in that effort to really twist defenders this way and that all game.
Actually it's true, just you find it hard to accept it. Martial wws brought on as a number 9 but was pushed to the wing because of emergence of Rashford in order so that LVG could play them both (Rooney was injured also) and because he's more versatile than Rashford, better dribbler.
His biggest problem. Don't know if it an instruction. Plays like a wing back at times.Maddening player. Constantly comes short resulting in nothing, finally runs ahead of the ball and havoc ensues.
If he develops more football intelligence Martial can be world level. Maysie just said it on MUTV: we need to turn them. Martial can do that, yet he chooses not to 90 percent of the time. With his positioning you'd think Martial had Maya's pace!
Not a chance, Micky is good at drifting past multiple people when he has a bit of space and Pogba is good at beating his man in tight spaces but neither of them have the ability to do both at the same time.Pogba and Micky too, although Martial is more likely to produce something like that than the other two
Thanks pal, l agree nothing wrong with being quiet. I just think he just struggles mentally. He's a quiet lad and there's nothing wrong with that, but I have noticed on the Man United social media platforms that he is recently being more vocal with his English which will help him bond with the others. He seems to be close with J.Periera.

Sensational piece of magic for the goal. Even though he was rather poor besides that.
Needs to get back on track. Need more from him.
He was visibly tired as the game went on. But poor isn't an adjective I'd use to describe him. All things considered, he was ok with definite room for improvement
He was making runs off the ball for the first 60 minutes, which was encouraging to say the least.
Don't even think he was poor. Was our best attacker by some distance in a game they hardly saw the ball.Sensational piece of magic for the goal. Even though he was rather poor besides that.

He was poor except the piece of magic.
I thought he was decent. Involved in all our good attacks and had a moment of brilliance.Didn't watch the game, how was he?
