That is disgusting
He did well, but let's remember that he came on when we were up 3-0, when the game was won already. Like others have said, it's easier to do something against tired legs, while the opposition are leaving acres of space trying to attack themselves.
Despite having good numbers in limited minutes, he has mostly got those numbers in situations like today(as I said above). I don't believe he would have been brought on today if it was only 1-0 to us or 0-0.
That's really not true. It's just a case of wanting a really good player who's on form to start.
Congrats on taking a completely different situation and trying to argue that people are saying something they aren't. Now do you have a response that is based on what people are actually posting?
It was savage indeed. We do that when we play among friends and it feels pretty humilating. Imagine it between pros in front of thousands and watched by millions.Looked like a cross and this hail Mary thingie.
That ball roll on Townsend was pure savage.
Don't have to imagine - look at Townsend's reaction when he realises he's been done!It was savage indeed. We do that when we play among friends and it feels pretty humilating. Imagine it between pros in front of thousands and watched by millions.
It means that if he does well in the few minutes he gets as a sub he did it because Rashford and co tired the opposition for him, if he doesn't do well then he's useless and erratic and they+Mourinho were proven right to doubt him.Are people really still spouting this tired legs nonesense? What does it even mean?

In other words he can not win.
I don't know if you watched Verrati being nutmegged by Isco in a recent match between Italy and Spain. His reaction was worse even.Don't have to imagine - look at Townsend's reaction when he realises he's been done!
I doubt that. Mkhi has to put in a defensive shift as well from time to time, making a run and back and keeping tabs on the opposition's midfield. Martial's defensive game isn't the best, obviously, so that might be an issue. Plus his change of pace is best utilised on the wings as it is.
Happens a lot to Martial. They're scared of him. I just hope that, like Ronaldo, he doesn't shrink from the odd kick here and there and instead takes it as a positive knowing they have to do that as he's that good. And they resorted to kicking him soon after.
Tony better get himself some sturdy shin pads.
I did not but I think I heard about this. I might have to look that up.I don't know if you watched Verrati being nutmegged by Isco in a recent match between Italy and Spain. His reaction was worse even.
Do that. It is a bit surprising because pros should be above that. In a way it shows you how self concerned they are.Happens a lot to Martial. They're scared of him. They'll get rid of the manager soon and appoint someone who's actually up to it. Then they'll be scary. The front 3 for the French national team for the next few years is a joke, Marital-Mbappe-Dembele. And with some pretty crazy depth as well. Even more of a joke is realizing that their manager doesn't call up Martial and starts Giroud
Just had a look and he didn't react how I was expecting him to. I thought he'd go hunting him down like a rabid dog from what I know of him! To me, it looked like he was a bit in awe of Isco.Do that. That is what I mean. He shouldn't be, he is a pro. He shouldn't stopped because he got megged, that's patheticJust had a look and he didn't react how I was expecting him to. I would normally agree but I don't know the context of the game. Like, did it happen late in the game where he'd have been shattered? Were Spain winning by a big margin and Italy had stopped trying? Maybe he was instructed to stay further forward to initiate a counter attack? Still, it's no excuse I suppose. I guess, as he is a very good player, it was hard for him to take and, as you said with them being self concerned, he took an extra few seconds to compose himself. That is what I mean. I see what you're saying, and agree. But I highly doubt Jose sees this. For him, somebody making an 'effort' is enough, and Martial's body language might go against him in this argument!I don't think Mkhi's defensive contributions are much more notable than Martial's. I think Martial's a much smarter passer than some give him credit for, and the combination of his close control and pace would be terrifying up the middle.
It really is nic to have a player that can demoralize opponents.I would normally agree but I don't know the context of the game. Like, did it happen late in the game where he'd have been shattered? Townsend did the same today. When he realised he just carried on the other way with his head in his hands. It's nice having a player who can do that to opposition players.
Not sure why Jose can't try him as a CF with Rashford on the left if Lukaku need a rest. Or Rashford as CF with Martial on left.
No we need Mata, Mata may not have goals/assists like Martial or Rashford, he helps us recycle possession, without him our forwards would constantly lose possession, Mata also sometimes drops deep and helps build play from midfield. This is what pisses me off. What's stopping him from playing Martial at left, Rashford at right with Lukaku at CF?

Just watched KDB score a winner for City and its a reminder of what could happen to us. I bet some Chelsea fans at the time thought Oscar was the better player to bet on too.
I really hope not.

You're just going to great lengths to make excuses for a manager having a mare, Mata can play through the middle and I bet he prefers it so. With Rashford and Martial flanking Lukaku we could actually look dangerous moreso if our AM isn't falling over or turning over possession at every other move.No we need Mata, Mata may not have goals/assists like Martial or Rashford, he helps us recycle possession, without him our forwards would constantly lose possession, Mata also sometimes drops deep and helps build play from midfield.
