to be honest it changes frequently. I have seen plenty where he does both. You make martial sound like a kick and run footballer. martial's dribbling is about keeping the ball close to his feet.

"I fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but the man who has practised one kick 10,000 times".Basically the opposite. watch videos of them. Ronaldo was full of dragbacks, flick flaks, step overs etc. Martial sizes his man up, and then kicks it past him and chases. Or he sizes his man up knocks it inside (or feigns), then knocks it past his man and chases. Far Far Far closer to Henry. Y'all must've forgot who Ronaldo was
Stats show Zaha gives the ball away almost as much as he beats a man.Im sure Zaha stats would be great, but stats are meaningless without context.
I agree. I think he is way overhyped. Granted he is only 20, but most of the hype comes from people and media who think of him as a brilliant goalscoring midfielder like Lampard and Gerrard. In truth, he played most games as a roaming second forward with a decent scoring record. Put him in midfield and he struggles against top quality opposition. All being said, i like him as a talent but players like him are difficult to fit in cos they are neither a 10 nor a 9, unless he becomes a Muller.
Perfect summary, when judged as a striker (which he basically is) he is an above average/decent player. People have this idea in their heads that he is a dominating midfielder of the Pogba mould who also scores a load of goals.I agree. I think he is way overhyped. Amen. Finally some people seeing things the way they are.Perfect summary, when judged as a striker (which he basically is) he is an above average/decent player. People have this idea in their heads that he is a dominating midfielder of the Pogba mould who also scores a load of goals.
I really feel sorry for him when he has to play with someone like Darmian who offers no help whatsoever, and our players generally avoid that side mostly because of Darmian. Still played very well when he had the ball though, our most dangerous player today.

I think he'll start against St. Etienne but not the final against Southampton.Wonder if he's lost his place again after that performance. Mourinho can be ruthless at time.
Well that would be madness, wasn't even poor today just quiet.I think he'll start against St. Etienne but not the final against Southampton.
Will wait and see. Mourinho complaint seemed to be about a lack of effort in training. But with the 2nd leg and final so close to each other, he might not have planned to start him anyway.Wonder if he's lost his place again after that performance. Mourinho can be ruthless at time.
Wasn't poor. Just didn't see the ball. We kept passing right, to Lingard for some reason.

Aye, he didn't seem up for it.Too pedestrian, too slow. Didn't want to take his man on and drifted centrally far too often.
Seems to me that he was lacking motivation today. Darmian didn't help and he was forced back quite often as a result.
Don't want it to happen either, I just think Mourinho might decide to go with Rashford after he scored today.Well that would be madness, wasn't even poor today just quiet.
He was good when he actually got the ball, but we basically played it down the right for most of the game and with Darmian at LB we seemed to avoid giving the ball to him.
