Ante Rebic...

Can play all 3 positions in attack. He would be better than perisic. He will go to bayern how things stand

Perisic is far more talented but Rebic could certainly do a job at RW in terms of tracking back, leading by example and warrior spirit. He's nothing special skill-wise but yeah could do a job in a team where hard work and fighting spirit is considered higher than flair and entertainment.

He really is not what we need, god he would an underwhelming signing. United really need to aim higher, not the level we should be going for. Not an upgrade on what we have.

Watch him shine at Bayern and cafe will be why weren't we in for him.

He won't shine at Bayern because he is not good enough for Bayern. Maybe in Bundesliga but I doubt even that.

If we're looking for creative player on the wing, he's not the man. End product is non existent

Id rather have Willian or Costa

I still refuse to believe that Bayern will buy him. He's the kind of player they normally might pick up via an expiring contract or a release clause, not someone they straight up buy out of a contract, especially not for the numbers going around in the press.

I think he'd do well for us, but he's not going to improve our issues of a lack of creativity and an inability to break teams down, so I don't see the point.

Looks like he will run himself into the ground for you with little end product.

His crossing final ball and shooting was really poor whenever he got into a key position during the World cup.

One of the poor ones in Croatia’s good side.
Aye, this was what I thought. I can’t claim to have watched him much but based on the World Cup he didn’t stand out at all.

I’d take Rebic. Think he’d do well here. I’d take anyone who is willing to play on the right for that matter

What are his qualities? I thought he was one of the worst Croatia's NT player in WC. Probably missed something :(

Leaving aside that he's probably nowhere near good enough for a team of our ambitions, he's not even a RW. According to Transfermarkt he's played a grand total of 3 games in his club career on the right, and people want him to be our new RW? Because of meh world cup playing there because Croatia apparently doesn't have a RW either?

Mourinho wants a workhorse winger it seems, he's not interested in creativity on that flank, he just wants a crosser who'll act as a secondary fullback, Rebic was doing that for Croatia and he'll be cheaper and easier to get rid of than a 30 year old Willian who will cost £70M.

Rebic wouldn't even make it at a team like Watford.
50m? Please! Frankfurt would snap anyone's hand off

He isn't even a real winger and was technically super poor for Croatia

Same thinking. I'd even settle for local pub team's right winger. None of this cutting inside crap our right wingers do all the time.

Based purely off watching him in the World Cup, he looked one of Croatia's less impressive players. Obviously he was physical, but seemed to be prone to poor decision making and a lack of technical quality. Perisic was far more impressive in the games that I saw. That said, this is based on a tiny sample of games in which he was (I think?) out of position, so it probably doesn't really mean much. Judging players on their international performances is never really a good idea, it's too small a sample.

We lack so much creativity on that side, Rebic would solve that issue at all. At least Willian has a bit of spark about him to go along with his work ethic.

I hardly saw him play on the right wing with Frankfurt or Croatia, he's more of a left-sided forward/winger who shoots with his right foot.
Doesn't really cross the ball or creates for others. Strange signing if we were to offer him a contract.

If we get him i feel sorry for the new manager who needs to get rid of him on big wages.

Does Albrighton still play as a right winger? I remember he put in a few good crosses against us once. Him and Barry Bannan in midfield had a good game at Villa Park a while back.

These rumours seem to have gathered a little pace.

I like him from the small amount I have seen. Anybody seen him more frequently?

he had a solid WC and one great game against Bayern in the cup final. But other than that? Meh. He had 6 goals in the Bundesliga last year (only 2 since November!) ... he's an okay player, but certainly not worth the money that's been quoted and IMO he's not good enough for a top club. He's just been riding on that cup final+WC hype wave a bit and it's obvious his agent wants to capitalize while his stock is high.
