Ante Rebic...

I thought he had a horrible game today
He has attribute to be handful and look standing out as energetic when his team being subdued. The problem is decision making and consistency of his technique means he can't produce anything in the end. One moment look like world beater, the next moment look like kid making first team debut. He may be a good player in the future, but doesn't look like what we need. So not bad but not so good either.

No. He has a great engine, would run through a wall, but his final ball and decision making are quite average.

In the second half, but in the first he was tearing Young a new one at times. He's given a good account of himself at the world cup. He's one to keep an eye on I think. It's not like others aren't looking at him he's been linked with Bayern already.

Umm no. Not that a player should ever be judged on a World Cup performance but no thanks.

Maybe unfair to judge him on tonight , but thought he was very average.

the link was a bit ridiculous in the first place. he's southampton level player who could raise his game in a top club and be a good squad option but we certainly don't need a squad option

I’ve really only seen him play in the World Cup, which is clearly not a sufficient basis to form a meaningful opinion as to whether he’d be a good acquisition for United. That said, overall, I thought he was fairly good. He definitely has some attributes that I’d like to see more of in our team. He’s direct, quick, and very aggressive. He’s certainly not easy to play against. He seems like a bit of a warrior, which Jose would love. Whether he could consistently show the skill to go along with the graft, I’m just not sure. I look forward to watching him in the final (even though I doubt there’s anything in the story linking us to him anyway).

His best attribute is that he's an absolute unit. If you gave Anthony Joshua a ball and told him to run he'd probably have about the same amount of actual skill as Rebic.

Absolute shit. Didn’t nothing against a half fit Young and 87 stone maguire. Terrible decision making and execution. A rare find

Apart from bully Young into submission. What he lacks is finesse and decision making. Very raw.

Made for the PL. Hope we can snap him up for a decent price, he is the exact type of player we need on the right. Fast, strong and a workhorse. If he can polish a bit his delivery and finishing, we will have a good player here

Would do well for a Southampton or Everton imo, Tadic replacement.

Don't think he's CL standard. If he was Bayern Munich would probably sign him with Kovac as coach.

To me this is just like what has happened with Seri, a mid level player linked with big clubs but ends up at West Ham or Leicester.

Didn't see much of him at this tournament but imo Kramaric has higher level. Was young at Leicester but played very well for Hoffenheim, 33 goals in 80 games for them.

Kramaric plays centrally though. He can play on the wing, but i think he is better centrally. Rebic is a pure winger/outside forward though, left or right.

Rebic nearly scored a good goal last night to be fair, hitting the post in the second half. He’d have also scored the winner against Denmark in the last round if he wasn’t brought down in front of an open goal.

Still, not sure he has enough goals in him for a regular wide spot with us.

Wouldn't touch him.
He's a forward who doesn't score, doesn't create and does little but thuggishly put himself around and run a lot.

Essentially, he's a winger/striker version of Fellaini but more mobile. Which probably means Woodward's preparing a mega-bid as we speak.

Jose's wet dream. Who needs goals and assists when your plan is to disrupt play and aim to win 1-0?

When did he hit the post? Perisic hit the post and Rebic utterly fluffed the rebound, slicing it straight into Pickford.

Perisic and obviously Modric are the only ones from that Croatian team that interest me. I don't know what Rebic is actually good at it, apart from being a bit of a bully.

Perisic is too old and massively overpriced at 50million. He also plays in Serie A which is equivalent to the Thailand domestic league and so will be slower than most Premier League goal keepers. No point signing a player like that even if he is playing in a world cup final.

Anyway we have Mata.

I'm not saying I want us to sign Perisic now, that ship sailed ages ago. As for the rest of your post, yeah I'll just leave it.

I am being facetious. 50 million for his quality in his prime would have been a steal, so not signing him was very poor judgment. We would have had a better balanced side and not spunked our load on Sanchez and perhaps gone for Bale this Summer, or even someone like Mahrez.

He really does look like a Mourinho type player. He's runs and works as hard on the flanks and you know Mourinho loves that from his wingers

We have better players at the club. This would be an underwhelming signing.

He also scores and create goals and is one of the best left wingers in the world. Just a shame we fecked it up haggling over nothing.

The thing with Perisic is that he’s actually a winger, which is rare. He’s not a ‘wide striker’ like Salah, he’s not ‘better through the middle’ - he’s a winger in the conventional sense. He runs up and down the side of the pitch, helping his full back and striker equally.

I didn’t realise Rebic scored two in a victory over Bayern in the German Cup final. Good goals too.

The boy loves a backheel from his YouTube highlights.
