I only bought 200 turnips for my first time. I haven't been to any other islands yet (other than the in game ones using Nook Miles Tickets), so figured I wouldn't waste too many bells on them before I've done that a few times.

I'll try and keep it a casual side thing rather than spend too much time on them I think.
 
May Day tour wasn't that great, was kinda hoping you'd get to pick a trip to bamboo/rare fruit/tarantula islands. If there's one gripe I have with the game it's the fact that my bamboo groove has been left unfinished for weeks due to not being able to get more bamboo trees.

That raccoon went over my head earlier and invited another bland villager to move in after one had left, what was the point of the tent again?

That raccoon did that to me as well just went and sold a house (that I paid for) to some random bear that I dont particularly care for. Yet the campsite and Nook islands remain free of people to potentially invite, I've just paid for another house so no doubt he will do the same again. I'm currently paying for another bridge myself as the others donate tiny amounts. And as soon as I've paid off the loan to increase my floorsize as soon as I go into his office he is trying to swindle more money out of me for another room!

Has anyone ever got to the shark Nook island that is rumoured to exist? Keep trying I at least managed to get the bamboo one the other day but since get the same boring ones.

I had Flurry move in today. Seems an absolute damp squib.
 
Has anyone tried using Amiibos to get animals you want to move in instead of random ones? Got myself some leftover NTAG215 stickers and Tagmo on my phone, but not seeing the option to invite Amiibo characters come up yet.

Got no idea how to do it really. I just invited Lobo who has now made it ten villagers.

My island is apparently only two stars still right now.

I had an empty house for ages and ended up going to a mystery island and just asking someone to join. Came the next day.

Had a bear come to my campsite but I had to guess his card for him to join and I got it wrong.
 
Have I missed tonnes by not having this yet? I ordered it last Friday but it's still not here, think the postman "lost" it and something else.

I did that in order to get Naomi to the island, picked the wrong card for like 25 times in a row before I finally got the right one just before I was about to quit. I was really eager to finally get a more interesting villager l0l.
 
Just bemoaning the shop being full of ugly shit like extractor fans and directors chairs, then spotted a guitar effects board! Just need a guitar now.

You need to have the campsite up. Go to the services centre to use the computer and invite amiibo characters to your campsite through that.
 
Finally got KK coming to my island after I planted a flower garden. Tomorrow the real work (terraforming) begins.
 
How do you get those funky concrete paths people seem to have

I have now been given the "gift" of the raccoon figurine diy card I may build it and leave it outside either resident service or the shop to creep them out given they keep taking my money

Its finally raining on my island so I'm trying to catch that fish you only get in the rain but keep getting bloody sea bass or little ones

Yeah, it worked today after the first campsite visitor left yesterday. Lucha visited yesterday and moved in today. His house is mad, with all animated wresting crowds on his walls. Invited Roald over today with a homemade Amiibo.
 
I built my campsite earlier today, but I put it on one of the raised sections, where nobody but me can go because I'm the only one with a ladder :lol: Will that be a problem? Can I build some kind of permanent way up? Getting the ladder out every time is a bit annoying.

Edit: There is I just saw.

Aren't those paths just custom designs layed over concrete or something.

What's the point of the campsite again?

I’ve been using custom designs up until this point. I think once you can terraform you can add real paths.
 
I just got bit by a scorpion and when I regained consciousness at my house it was there waiting for me and started chasing me :lol: Is this a regular thing?

I finally caught that really rare rain only fish yesterday after multiple sea bass. I would support the sea bass becoming extinct from my island.

I've built the raccoon figurine and put it by the shop hopefully itll scare the terrible twosome into raising turnip prices

So how would I go about turning custom designs into paths I'm probably being really thick?
 
I’ve been trying to catch the Mahi-Mahi and I want to kill myself. Why can’t you craft fish bait in multiples.

I have that but getting that fossil one with the unprenounceable name made me want to kill myself especially as your bait is then taken by utter dross such as the sea bass. In the end I ran round and round and round the beaches, not bothering with bait, scaring off the small and medium fish and only trying for the big ones. Like you say you should be able to craft x amount of fish bait and each time you craft it your avatar shows it off just get on with it. It becomes more annoying when you're crafting yet another batch after wasting it on umpteen seabass. Then your fishing rod breaks....

Oh and one of the creatures on my island suggested I go check on Pashmina the goat yesterday went to her house, she proceeds to sneeze all over me no hand over her mouth go get the medicine she asked for she then does it again!!!

You can only catch the Mahi from your pier so I’ve ended up putting a workbench there to make things a bit quicker.

Also been terraforming my island and it looks so much better. Really coming together now. Got a new spot for the shop and museum and need to move about 5 houses but getting there.

ive got two in my house waiting for a third so i can give them to CJ for him to make a model of it, ive had them about 9-10 days now and theres been no sign of rain, hes visited twice in that time so i have models of the blue marlin and oarfish

I've no idea who CJ is to be honest, only been playing a week and a half or so.
