The plan was to sign him in January when the Chilean season had finished, hence why it was suggested we will probably loan him straight back. It could be that someone has forced our hand slightly, be it Citeh or some other unknown club, hence the reason we pushed the deal through quickly.
Or, we could have just got a medical booked in yesterday because the lad was playing in a tournament in Holland over the weekend so it made sense for him to come in whilst he was actually in Europe.

Similar attitude to Hernandez - wonderful to hear. I'd personally would like to see him heading out on loan to a second/third class European side, so he could get used to the European way. Still, it would make sense for him to stick around Chile until the season finishes at least.
