Start him to feck!

I've been dying to see him get first team action this season! Might have to wait another 2 years but he WILL be a starter for United.

 This news has definitely got me even more excited for Sunday now! Looking forward to TFM's return too and hopefully play in Midfield.

Jose mentioned RB....

Noice!

Probably will get the chance off the bench when opponents are tiring. More chance for him to show off his close control skills.

Cant wait now!

If he doesn't start it sounds like he's unlikely to play considering Jose said 3/4 first team players will play one half but nonetheless will be a great experience for the kid, a debut would be fantastic though!

Great news! This is probably the most excited i have been for a PL game in the last 2 months.

Only reason to like having nothing to play for in the PL on the final day.

@SCP

Gil was playing non league football in Manchester at the end of his career. He then started working for United I think which would have coincided with when Queiroz joined so you could be right.

Yes it has all to do with Carlos because I remember during that period Gil gave interviews to portuguese press related with that, if the kid is the big prospect for United academy hopefully he needs to be well developed.

I say this because on the other day I was watching some moments of the match between the B team of Porto against the under 23 of Sunderland and the difference in quality was schoking, hopefully that is not the normal standard of the under 23's teams in England, this kid needs to be chalenged against better players to fulfill his potential.

I know it is controversial in England but maybe it is time for English football to start thinking in B teams to develop their younger academy players or have agreements with clubs who play in the Championship where they can loan an certain number of young players.

I will look more to this kid, unfortunately Portugal also let other kid who is playing for Leeds choose England, Ronaldo Vieira.

A B team system has been spoken about because there is a disconnect in development happening somewhere. If it actually happens is a different matter.

Gomes was born and raised in Manchester and must have 40 caps for England at youth level as the captain so hopefully he sticks with England. He is part of the best England youth side since the early 90s too, they have reached the U17 Euro final with no hiccups (12 wins out of 12) without him (injury) so as an England fan I hope that group continues together.

Gomes's cousin is in England too. He was at City but went to Liverpool. Highly rated also.

Ronaldo Viera has only been in the UK since 2011 and says his first choice is Portugal. He is going to the U20 World Cup with England but he could still switch.

Wasn't he a ball boy at one of our games just a few weeks ago?

Not complaining about Gomes, Ronaldo was fault of our youth coaches who didn't called him up, I can understand his decision, after all he has been in England for 6 years.

Regarding the B teams for development it might be controversial in England, resistance to change.

Sorry his cousin is not Rafael Camacho no?

Yeah Camucho. United were in for him too when he left City but he chose the Scouse?!

Good to see Jesse taking him under his wing. He seems to be mentoring Rashford too, perhaps this is why he is just about worth 100k a week doing this sort of thing as well

I am worried about his height and strength. Time to inject something that could lengthen his body.

no, it was a joke based on the request "to inject something that could lengthen his body".

But he is not even close to Messi's power, strength and pace. Plus, little Messi would put too much pressure on his shoulder
