its 17.19, has the plane landed yet? We should have sent him on Ryanair, 95% of all there flights are on time!!

You do realise once this deal is done you can never use money as a tool to beat us and City ever again Mr Smashing the British transfer record! ;)
We can. Seen as though Chelsea were a nobody who hadn't won the league in 50 years, and City were a total nobody who had won nothing in 35 years until mega rich owners came in and spent more money in 5-10 years than we have spent in 20...still winning considerably less titles than us. Boom.

Never thought Utd will ever sign Di Maria, people are underestimating the quality.Fans of Madrid are unhappy that he is leaving and that tells you all.

Anyone else think he's the type of player who will age really well in terms of fitness.. he has that giggsy type vibe about him, doesn't put weight on etc. He'll give us a decent length of service in my opinion.

He'll suffer a cruciate ligament tear as soon as he steps off the plane, I guarantee it. After that his crutches will get caught on the stairs at Carrington and he'll slip and break his neck. Our luck!

"A recent fan poll has shown that 83.5% of Real Madrid supporters are keen on seeing Di Maria stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, reports Spanish newspaper AS. Their headline reads 'Save the soldier', which highlights their readers' desperation to keep the former Benfica man at the club. "

Is there any truth that he has said he wanted City to sign him or is it just the City propaganda machine spreading it's dastardly untruths? Like the one about there being more city fans in Manchester.

where's Pogue when you need him.

United have always been branded with buying trophies, we just find it funny that City and Chelsea fans used to say it the whole time and now they're doing the exact same.

Also we've earned our money through performances on the pitch and good managing off it. City and Chelsea got lucky by being taking over by billionaires who are putting money into the club that hasn't earned it. It could have easily been any other club. Bolton could be challenging for the title if they were picked out of the hat by Roman instead of chelsea. Chelsea and City were just the lucky ones, hence every trophy ye win in the future will because ye got lucky;)

It's Duncan Castles being a fecking cock as usual.

Strooth! The rumour is that City turned down the chance to sign him when Madrid were shopping him around earlier in the window.

Okay. Anyway since Real have become our feeder club, what's stopping us getting Bale and Ronaldo as well?

@Vato
My foot up your ass probably will.
Why? Our money wasn't earned through blood/oil money like you and City with your Seik's and Russian billionares. Besides, both of you have still spent close to double what we have in the past 10 years, but of course you plastic mugs refuse to take note of these things.
Neither is ours, yet that didn't stop any of you using the exact same thing against us all these years! :smirk:

We can as we are using our own money, you are using your owners.

You are effectively the gold diggers of the football family ;)

Well that statement alone proves you're deluded and you obviously refuse to use common sense just to have a dig at us, wonderful! Why are you type of people all over the caf like a bad rash? If mr Roman decided to pack up and leave you, you'd do a portsmouth within 5 years whilst we earn over £700,000,000 in those 5 years :D

You don't really want us to get the net spend Prem tables out do you?, you and City are still miles ahead of everybody else even though you have only had sugar daddys for a small amount of the the Premierships history.
Plus its OUR money we are using, not some corrupt 'business' mans

Speaking of Bale, I'm starting to wonder if there's any truth to that rumoured 100m bid we supposedly put in for him before Madrid snapped him up. If this transfer window has proven anything, it's proved we're fecking rich.

Vato is a Real Madrid fan. He's also kidding.

No, you're funded by the Spanish government when they could be using that money to help working class people get jobs :smirk:

Oh and Madrid are much better? Spain are having serious financial issues, whilst at the same time Madrid loan hundreds of millions from them to fund their insane spending spree.

This beauty from Real Madrid forum fun various poster's there :-

Thanks for the amazing three months, Angel! I'm sure now that they have you, they won't get mauled by other teams like last year

I said it before that I won't care where he'll go. But dammit, I feel bad for him for joining a third class team. I'm sure he'll shine at United though; being the only true WC player in the team.

I truly believe that Di Maria can easily shine at United. He'll effortlessly walk into the starting XI. It doesn't matter if he can't remain consistent. They're not Madrid. He'll keep his spot no matter what. He can become their alpha. They have like, one WC player. The rest are all garbage. So this could be his chance. No CL football. He won't have a busy schedule. He can outshine or at least repeat what Suarez did with Liverpool last year.

By the way Di Maria, got what he was after, recognition that he is (in his mind lol) at same level as Bale, Benz, Ronaldo. I wish him well, but I am sure that it will end up like Ozil, a good player but not the world class superstar to drive team to trophies!

I didn't say they were. You weren't taking his comments like they were meant to be taken I.e jokingly.

What do you think United does? You want to see how much your debt is compared to ours? I haven't checked in a while but I'd say we're not that different in that regard.

Would you rather have an owner that is passionate about the game and celebrates like he did when Drogba comes on, or the Glazers?

Couldn't care less as long as they invest in the club in the right way to be honest.

Yeah but he looks like a tard when he celebrates. Ours always look impeccable.

I'd rather have the Glazers, at least they don't force our managers to buy shit players because they want it. You Chelsea fans change your stance every year, depending on things going well or bad.

We haven't taken out one single loan :) I really, really wish you'd get your facts right before trying to argue. It's frustrating having to prove people wrong on such simple matters that can be proven with a simple internet search, and a bit of common sense.

I hope the wink at the end implies you're joking with that post.

Semi joke. Tongue in cheek, but its true. Not that you guys generally do that now most of you have done your research on how Chelsea actually were quite successful and popular in the decade before RA.

I couldn't care less really and that has nothing to do with your orig stupid point has it. The only reason why you and City haven't spent yet another £100mil this window is because you can't because of FFP.
FFP doesn't work well for small clubs.
