The world will end tomorrow. :D
Don't worry, Perez will fix that problem with a Falcao or something.

Never mind the amount spent, this is a huge signing and indeed a huge statement of intent by us. Di Maria should add some much needed pace to our side and a bit of imagination as well. Looking at our performance yesterday, we seemed very lethargic and lacking ideas. Perhaps Angel could make us pacier and more unpredictable.

And why all the fuss over the transfer fees anyway? Aren't those people complaining about the huge fees also the same kind of people complaining that we don't just get transfers done and are afraid to pay top dollar for world class players? Make up your minds people.

Why on earth would they agree to the "2" champions league wins part? Why not make it 2 league wins?

It'd take super mad optimism to see us winning the champions league twice in his say 4-5 year contract! We're not even bloody in it for the first year!

hehe very true, maybe it 2 CL campaigns...but if it is 2 Wins!! then they are not gonna see a penny of that 5 million!

but to be honest every deal is always full of journalist speculation, only United and Madrid know the full details and those hardly ever get released.

I thought it's £63.9m with add ons making it worth up to something like £75m

Edit: Nope, I was wrong.

So, the fee's about 50m isn't it?

It'll probably be like the Suarez deal, where we never quite know how much. Madrid'll say one thing, United another.

Yeah £45-50m up front, the rest will be in add ons.

Sorry, the sums on transfermarkt were in punds, not Euros. They have it this way:

James: 70,4
Kroos: 26,4
Navas: 8,8
SUM: 105,6

Morata: 17,6
Sahin: 6,16
Jesus: 0,44
Casemeiro: 1,32 (loan fee)
Lopez: 0
Di Maria: 63,9 (with all add-ons) (not on Transfermarkt yet)
SUM: 89,42

Haven't the numbers for Garay though, but if it's 7,5 mil Euro, it's about 6 mil pounds. So the total sum will be 95,42 mil.
Transfermarkt are usually reliable, but htey might be wrong in some cases.

That's a good, solid fee, in my opinion.

Good business, Ed. If we win the PL and CL - therefore triggering the add-on payments - 15m extra will be a drop in the ocean.

So, the fee's about 50m isn't it?

It'll probably be like the Suarez deal, where we never quite know how much. Madrid'll say one thing, United another.

Not sure, but probably. Read somewhere that the add-ons in total are 15m euros .

and I keep forgetting that Morata exists.

It's easier to forget then it is to remember that he was actually a part of the squad last season.

Don't worry, Perez will fix that problem with a Falcao or something.

He better do something because Ancelotti keeps saying that we don't need another striker. The fact that Benzema is not able to keep his form for more then half a season, or that he really isn't a "9", or that he hasn't scored a goal in last 12 games (if I'm not mistaken) seems to be of no relevance to these guys.
When Perez bought him, he presented him like next baloon d'or. It's not happening, but Perez seems to be the only one not receiving the message.

I dont know about you guys, but I actually like it that we're spending a shitload of cash as it simply proves that we're one of the few self-substained powerhouses in football. The fact that the club has been so well ran over the years which allows us to blow the english transfer record without even having to worry the slightest about FFP speaks volumes in my opinion. We could spend £100m on di Maria and I'd still love it. As long as we're not putting ourself in a difficult position of any sort, spend the cash to show that we're one of the true greats in football.

Jackson saying he might not even fly today. Get on the plane you noodle bastard.

I think I might cry seeing DIOS Maria, but if we sign a CM I definitely will.

If it's Vidal, I'll implode in wankaton of epic proportions.

Don't worry about the weather guys I looked on Wikipedia and his hometown Rosario gets more rain than Manchester. He's probably coming here for the weather, Paris is slightly too dry and he couldn't stand it in Madrid any longer.

Jackson is saying that the fee is not yet agreed. Must have old info, surely. I'd rather believe Sky and Ballague on this one (fee agreed + Di Maria flying in today).

Oh God it's starting

When we should be celebrating we're somehow managing to be an embarrassment.

Cringe when I see s*it like that.

I hope some of you people realize Di Maria will be a massive upgrade over Young and Valencia.

Count me in for a thumbs up on this deal.

Have Argentina got any games in the forthcoming international break? If so where?

Yes. They are playing Germany, in Germany on september 3rd. Next up is Brasil, which will be played in China on october 11th and against Hong Kong, in Hong Kong, on october 14.
