Interested to know how some folk can judge a players worth. Valencia & Young both have pace. They don't have the guts to take on the players nor the skill. Di Maria has all 3 attributes.
I think, as Neville said, we've clearly lost our negotiating position, so now it's a case of buying the right players and forgetting the cost. But IMO if the Di Maria deal - which is massive by any standards - stops us from buying a genuinely top class midfielder then that's a perfectly fine justification. No point moaning now, though, as that will only become clear by the end of the window.
Having Di Maria and Januzaj as outlets on the wings instead of players like Young and Valencia will be a god send for our general play.
