at this rate we risk finding ourselves in trouble with ffp
A wide player who will spend much of the year on the bench, as there's no way our formation won't include one of our best players.
That's Crazy money for him tbh.
Doubt it is true.
Beautiful
Looks like @RedBistro's Di Maria headline is going to become a reality.
Some folks really underestimate our squad i see.
Having spent 125 million pounds and potentially more there would be really no excuse for LVG now not to get top 4 at least.
Never really rated him.. Well actually I did but 2 or 3 seasons ago when he partnered Xabi in a midfield 2. But that seems like ages ago. Maybe he needs a change of scenery because I know he can be a great player, hasn't really shown it lately (his injury didn't help) altough I liked him at the WC.What do you think of khedira ???
I wouldn't go that far myself, yes he's spent, but if you do a squad comparison with the other teams knocking on that door ours is still unbalanced.
Shaw from ESPN said he might one of three signings this week. So we will have to wait and find out.
Wrong if Di Maria settles we are dead cert for the CL, signing Benatia + De Jong brings us right back into the title race. With an explosive player like Di Maria our forward line will be too hot to handle, suddenly there is someone scaring defenders with pace and trickery meaning that there is more space for Mata to operate in and we have goals, plenty of them in RvP and Rooney. That front four alone is more than enough to get us into the top four.Does anybody expect us to sign any more players if this one goes through? because as smashing as Di Maria is, it's only one problem solved, which is our shite wingplay aside from a 19 year old. We'll still need another defender and central midfielder to even think about getting back into the CL.
The other thing is that what he's saying actually makes sense. There's a lot of politics at Madrid and Balague was articulating just why this is happening. That's the clincher for me.Yeah, he said it so calmly and matter of fact as if its pretty much already a done deal.
Robbie Williams is in with a shout.Nailed on that his song will be to the tune of that Blondie song.
*Woodwards negotiating*
"£60m? How about £59.9m?"
I think Madrid looked at him as a different type of player then he actually is, and he wasn't Madrid quality anyways. Madrid saw him as a defensive mid when he's a box to box player who's best qualities are his energy and strength and pressing. Defensively he's not got great positioning and isn't a holding midfielder, or an anchor man or whatever, but plenty of people seem to think he is for whatever reason.Never really rated him.. Finally! I said that earlier yesterday, and I firmly believe it fits perfectly. We just need the right lyrics.Nailed on that his song will be to the tune of that Blondie song.
I read this and don't really understand why we're signing Blind if we're looking at another CM too. Surely Blind would be signed to play CM, considering we have Shaw and now Rojo who can play LB...the only reason I can think of is because he can play in a few positions and would be a handy back up for us but would we really pay 20 million for a back up player? He mentioned in his follow up article that Blind was the second, and the third was "a midfielder" whoever that might be.
Rooney being left out of these fantasy line ups ffs.
First name on the team sheet.
Maybe not. Januzaj has proven that even when the shit hits the fan, he'll soldier on. That's emotional maturity that Louis Van Gaal craves. He may yet play more often than not.Not sure why Januzaj keeps appearing these lineups. He'll spend much of the year on the bench.
