Andreas Pereira to Valencia? | It happened

It makes the most sense. There's absolutely zero point in him hanging around the squad for a few minutes here and there in case of injuries. I would be very disappointed if he does not go out on loan. Tuanzebe is another one who should be out on loan not playing for the U23s.

If he was good enough for Mourinho, he would have gotten a chance this season. Going on loan to a la liga side for a second successive year hints at him looking elsewhere, probably in Spain, and Mourinho being okay with it.

He will sign an extension i hope. It would be sad to see him have his final year of contract run out and leave.

We're probably going to activate the +1 so he'll come back with 12 months left on his contract, see if we actually have a spot for him in the team, and then decide to leave for relatively cheap down to that fact. Or hopefully stay and sign a new deal.

Said it before and needed a fire suit after it but if the loan move isn't here in the PL, then he's no history here. He was loaned last year but I never understood the merit of it when it's in a different country, culture, league and playing style. He'll play well, then come back to the polar opposite experience. He'll arrive at a club that would have changed again and potentially find the transition hard again, not to mention maybe more new signings to compete against not to mention the ones that were here before he left.....

Ok the Dutch lad is only at CP but he's at least he's still on the radar, playing against English teams under English conditions, and can still maintain contact with his team mates without having to jump on a plane.

Sad but his window of opportunity here has closed.

7 since we resigned Ibra. And we won't always play with 4 attackers, quite a few times we'll play with 3. So that's 7 players for 3 or 4 positions. Sounds like exactly the right amount of depth.
Why are you counting a player (Ibrahimović) that will be available only in 4/5 months? Are you joking?

we all can agree that if he is not the player of man united, he is atleast a player that easily walk into teams like everton or west brom or etc. If we make him sign a new deal with us, good or bad atleast we will have an upper hand in the matter and dictate our price.

Because that's usually the part of the season where depth becomes important. You don't rotate much in the first half. And based on how things are going he might be back a bit sooner too. Simples

Not sure if it was what happened last season, but even if it was, it was surely due more to a series of injuries and the long Europa League campaign, which will hardly be repeated in the Champions. Why are we expecting to have to rotate less with Premier League, Champions League and League Cup games coming up at a rate of two per week? People are talking about 7 games in 20 days come September, just one being the League Cup. Do you want to run players to the ground just now? Some can hardly finish a 90' game as they are…

Is he good enough to start enough games at Valencia? I would think they would be an upgrade on Granada in terms of quality. Otherwise it's just a silly move when he can just stay at United and getting the cup games and training with better players

This one puzzles me .It seems obvious that it looks like he does not have a future here. But he's always looked a decent player when i've seen him.

I'd think that there would be some kind of agreement that if he does well at Valencia he's guaranteed a place in the first team squad and a nice contract, otherwise out of respect for his patience so far we'll let him leave on a free. Or maybe Mourinho jsut doesn't rate him. I find that hard to believe though.

Makes sense to let him get some quality play somewhere else, but I think the boy is talented and I don't want another De Bruyne type story of regret a few years from now. Have him sign an extension, in case he has a breakout season.

Well, I have already expected this will happen when we signed Matic. There are already too many options in midfield now. Although, I think he should stay and wait until January.

Feck me, as of now?
Another ass covering tweet just to sound clued in.

Im told by multiple sources that, as of now, Monaco haven't accepted Liverpools bid for Lemar but Klopp is keen to get it sorted as soon as possible.

Then sign on a free to Valencia? Pretty sure he's into his last year of his contract now?

United have an option for another year IIRC, so he's tied to the club until 2019.

Great news for us then! Hopefully Mou shows how much he wants him to stay by giving him some playing time, think he'd be better than Mata on the right.

Good news if he stays. Now we only need Mourinho to play him!
I'd rather he go on loan to a PL team. Herrera is hardly getting any game time. Then we have Fellaini and Carrick. He'll only get a chance to play when we are cruising to victory ,for maybe a couple of minutes. The best thing for him is regular game time in a PL team.

We're only three games into the season. Once other competitions begin, he'll get plenty of game time.

To be honest, I think the best thing might be to sell him and include a buy back clause. Either that, or keep him. Loan should be off the table.

Keep him here and extend his contract. It would be plain silly to lose a talent like him. We're pretty thin on quality cover in midfield. Maybe send him on a loan until January to an English club (after either extending or giving him a new contract).

We are only three games into the season guys! The fact he isn't getting games at the moment is not a fair indication of whether Mourinho rates him or not.

One of our players of the season last year, Herrera, can't even get a look in at the moment.

He will get plenty of opportunities over the next couple of months.

A Dutch newspaper is claiming he is going on loan to FC Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Would be a weird move in my eyes. Should be easy to loan him to a club in a top league

Here's the article: http://www.football-oranje.com/utrecht-loan-manchester-uniteds-andreas-pereira/
I can't really see much reason in loaning him to a Dutch team in terms of personal development, when he could easily get first team football for teams in the top leagues. Perhaps, we're hoping he does well enough to get a bigger transfer fee next summer?

It would be mental if he went to Holland. Lewis Baker scored 15 goals from midfield and won the Dutch Cup with Vitesse last year and now he is playing in The Championship. If Pereira goes to Holland this season he is finished with us.

It would have been a good move for him 2 years ago. But Chelsea rarely apply any logic to their loan moves. They are just happy for any club to take them off their hands for the season.

They actually seem to have shown some care with regards to Tammy Abraham's move to Swansea, so they must rate him.

I'd rather sell him than see him return to Holland at this stage of his career.

They have sent Mount to Vitesse, he is 18, that is the age a top prospect should be loaned there 18 or 19. If you are there at 21, it isn't good. Valencia would be a good move for him.

FC Utrecht hires Pereira from ManUnited

Pereira was picked out by Man Utd in 2014. To the great rage of PSV that saw 16-year-old talent with heartache. Immediately he was rented to Spain Granada. This season he could stay, but he preferred to go to a club where he has more chance of playing time. Perreira played at PSV during the time Utrecht coach Erik at Hag assisted Fred Rutten in Eindhoven.

Bizarre step down. From first team football in La Liga to first team football in the Dutch league.

feck sake

Most disappointing thing is that it doesn't matter at all how well he plays there, it won't change his stance at United at all. So hes either gone after this loan, or going to come back to us and continue to rot in the reserves.
