Can’t we just do these offers / negotiations in person and get it done, rather than preparing an offer, sending an offer, waiting for them to reject it, the club being relaxed about the situation for a few days, preparing another offer, waiting again, etc.
They send it Via mail… 2nd class cheap skates

This will be done soon and then we can spend the remainder of the window trying to offload the wasters and chasing a striker.

Will be interesting to see what it's like having an intelligent, calm under pressure, keeper for the first time in a while. I bet it's nice.

If we get him for under £50m, that'd be a sweet deal considering Brentford were demanding 40 for Raya in his last year.

Modern keeper thank Feck, I love de gea all he's done but it's time to modernise

I bet we will get lots of heart-in-mouth moments too. Lots of ''WTH are you doing?'' ''Just boot it to Row Z FFS!''

The novelty of his ball skills will soon wear off when he's flapping and costing us goals.

Glad I'm not the only one. I admire his intensity and willingness to take risks and command the back but he seems like a proper feckin lunatic
Not even kick a ball for us and we have different adjectives to describe him

So is this our new negotiation strategy??

We won't bid, we will 'insist' !!

Its called the Strategy of Incrementalism.

After 'insisting' we will 'advocate'.

The end goal is to 'stalk' (for the purpose of intimidation) before actually coming to the table to negotiate with big dick energy.

He is miles better in the air and crosses than de Gea is. Miles better at playing out from the back. Statistically doesn't make as many mistakes with his shot stopping as De Gea either. And then purely visually - actually stepped up in the CL final with a great performance when the pressure was on, while de Gea crumbled in multiple key moments, notably the fa cup final.

This. Highly sceptical myself. Good with feet but mediocre goalie

I think this signing will be the one on which ETH plants his flag on. He gets rid of the golden glove winner and gets his old goalie. If Onana fails or is mediocre then he would ahve lost a lot of credit in the bank with the transfer/scouting teams.

You act as if he’s replacing Messi. De Gea has been a wonderful servant but poor for a good few years. Golden glove doesn’t make up for the constant handing of possession to the opponent or mistakes in big moments.

Some are acting like De Gea is a mistake free keeper. He drops multiple unfathomable clangers every year. Sure I saw a statistic somewhere that said Onana made no major errors leading to goals last season. It's fair to assume he's refined his game a bit in recent years.

It will be interesting to see. Hopefully it works out!

Give me hope Onana, give me hope Onana. Hope before the morning comes!

Sounds like we aren't far away from each other in valuations so this should hopefully get sorted soon. Mount and Onana in for pre season would be great. Hopefully a striker to follow before long.

Parallels with Pep when he arrived at City. Everyone was saying how harshly he treated Joe Hart but a different keeper was essential to the style he wanted to play. I feel the same is true with ETH.

Having a more commanding and dynamic keeper with a bit of personality will transform our play. Character is very important in football and this guy has tons of it.

I love Dave but he's always seemed quite unassuming whereas I think goalkeepers should be larger than life and have an edge to them.
