I genuinely hope this imposters story is true, it's the only thing that can make me laugh about our failure to close the deal rather than cry..Maybe the La Liga offices did try to verify them. Maybe that was the 'bureaucratic problem' we heard about. The reports about imposters started cropping up in Spain, clearly not some sort of leak from us.

This is bizarre. I am a bit gutted about this with Herrera. He looks a decent player and certainly one which would do us a great deal of good. Him AND Fellaini would have put my mind at rest a bit with our midfield. We needed the two I think.

Story of our summer really. We've spent the whole summer low balling and trying to get a "good deal" and then end up paying 4.5 million more for a guy we could've bought hassle free a month ago.
Our email system was down. Must be because of the dialup internet shutdown that happened recently.
So his price will drop in January? If anything they rise so we'd most likely still have to pay the release clause.
Herrara is issuing a statement tomorrow so some details should emerge. The club should address this issue as well separately from what we have said about still liking the player.
