So with his addition, that means we will not be signing Schweinstiger? Still hope their is a chance we add Strootman and one holding midfielder(Carvalho) to our team. The latter prefarable this window.

de Jong will be our only other midfield signing this summer, I reckon anyway. With Strootman probably following in January or next summer.

This transfer looks very likely to happen given the news coming out yesterday and today. Was to convinced after the reports by Vermaelen but this looks all but done.

Good start to the window and exactly what we need.

IF this is true, it's amazing how no paps have snapped him getting in and out of cars etc.

IF this happens, it's been very smooth and people should lay off Woodward and start trusting him a little. Mata was also handled well IMO.

This is nothing like the Vermaelen rumors. Nothing at all.
 
This is getting exciting.. I'm at work but not even given it another look, been hooked on to the caf and twitter since i got here! :lol:

I belive with the martinez case bayern gave him the cash to pay bilbao with, as it was the only way to get the move through.
i dont think martinez had to pay bayern back.

It does make united look quite cheap, if this is all true.

De Jong looks like a Makalele type of footballer. If we wanted a hardman in midfield, we can just put Jones in their. If we add the morpheme "De" in front of Jones names, it will be hard to see the difference between the two :lol:. Carvalho is a destroyer with a football brain, composure and great passing ability. Beit, De Jong maybe more mobile, Carvalho has more noteworthy attributes to become a succes at United.

Personally I have seen him only against US and he was impressive, but I can't comment on his quality. I think that golden_blunder rates him highly and have seen other posters (some who have watched him and some who haven't) rate him highly too. I really don't have any idea so just was asking if you have seen him enough to comment (which you have so it's all good :)).

Nonsense. Trust is earnt. People get excited over deals and then lovely dovey. How about we wait and see before we reflect on our summer?
 
By the way, I feel responsible that this finally went through. My text that didn't actually go through on the 4th of September 2013 hit them deep.

Just had a look myself. We're a bunch of teurcebotas or something apparently and one poster isn't bothered because his beak aviation minister has never convinced him. Google translate may just have got that one wrong....

Still, hopefully this is announced soon. I think he's got great potential here and he suits Van Gaals style.
