Ander Herrera is a Manchester United Player!

Ogden reporting Herrera to be the first of four signings, with the club confident of concluding a deal for Shaw next and a holding midfield player becoming the following priority.

But as the Herrera deal proves, nobody has a Scooby-Doo regarding our transfer dealings.

Enough to comment on his ability.

What i love about this forum,"Wow look over here waving my willy and projecting onto others".

Hes more our kind of signing than Pogba Kroos,Schwei,Vidal, etc.

And for the 30 million, its a fecking steal.
It was a genuine question. There have been many cases when people want a player despite watching him only once or twice. Just look at Clasie thread how some decided that he is good for us despite never watching him and everybody who had watched him said that he isn't United quality.

Also, he costs 37m pounds IIRC, which isn't exactly a steal considering that he is completely unproven so similarily to Shaw we would be paying a huge amount of money for potential. Sometimes it works (see Ronaldo), sometimes it doesn't (see Anderson).

£37? I thought it's £28.7.
And he has proven his worth in La Liga over two seasons, that's good enough for me.

Nope. Not all season. He would play as one of the midfield three (not the most advanced) in 4-3-3 (right-sided), esp. against bigger teams like R. Madrid. It's just his late runs, directness and preference to join the attacks from time to time that made him look like an AM. Obviously, he did play as an AM for a good portion of games but it's not like he played there whole season. With the fluid Bilbao's midfield it's hard to tell sometimes.

They are fluid, but he was the one written as an AM in 26 matches and as a CM in 4. He has been their more advanced playmaker this year, even if with his tackling and hard work he sometimes looks like a CM(as he played like that in his other seasons.)

Although I don't particularly rate, with every Spaniard added the chances of De Gea and Mata staying long term are increased.

If it's true that he would be willing to help the deal being finalised with his own money, which was reported also during our first raid, then he's going to be the fans' favourite. Especially after a shambles on our part last year and how well he played for Bilbao despite of that.

Herrera compared (yes, I know they didn't play the same position but those were our targets, except for Carrick obviously)

So that means that he should be in carrington around about now give or take (depending on traffic) must be disappointed he hasn't got the helicopter treatment

My apologies mate,im jst in from the newbs and its a bit feisty down there to say the least.

Basically he been on my radar since he played a worldly at old Trafford 2/3 years ago?Anyway,i think he wanted our move last year and was frozen out for a portion than played out of position. To his crdit he fought on and kept his head down and got on with it .<Sounds United quality to me>

But this is what he is,a deep lying creative 8 whom id compare to Fabregas<not as good mind yet>in his deeper Arsenal days.
Thing is,he has timing of a tackle, try to read rather than rashness<which does mean he is guilty of mistiming>but what he has, what im so excited about,,,,is that ball from deep, spotting and picking who hes hitting inch perfect.

We Land this guy, take Stootman and nurse him back to health and Gundogan,,,,,illl stop the muppettry has me in a vaccum.

Apparently Chelsea want him now.
Chelsea can feck off. They already have their first-team midfield settled anyway. Herrera would have to be of John Obi Mikel's IQ level to go there and he's not. He wants this move badly, we pay the top dollar, there's no chance Chelsea are getting him.

he passed his mediacal already in Madrid some days ago, according to what i read on twitter

rofl at people taking the Chelsea bait. Brilliant Blair. Mod this man.
