As comparisons go, for me, he isn't too dissimilar to Wilshere. Aggressive, can carry the ball quickly in midfield with a bit more trickery to his game than Wilshere and a very good passer. Seems to play with plenty of urgency which should mean he'll adapt well to the Premiership. All in all a good start to our transfers this summer if it comes off.

I watch a bit, but most of what Ive seen comes from the videos ive posted, Strootman with Herrera would be almost two identical players, although I would say Strootmans passing ability and long balls are better. Whereas Herrera has better technical ability and is faster.
Coupling the two would make for a very hard to play against CM partnership and offer alot of protection for the back. Most likely with Strootman being the outball with Herrera bombing on, wed quite easily be able to overpower lower league sides and cause major problems vs the likes of Matic combined with Fabregas.

Ander Herrera has been a better player than Strooman in his entire career. He is the best midfielder outside of the Liga top 3 and he is better than most of their midfielders.
