Love this guy. Especially as he winds up the scousers to no end. He was the best of a bad bunch today.

His long passing is terrible.
man of the match performance in a big game again and you come to comment on his long passing, he created at least 4/5 great chances today and won the ball so many times that I lost the count, so ppl can forgive him long range passing, even though that great through ball to Valencia is one of those passes which matters, when Pogba executes one out of 4 everybody's shut up..

For me he was above average performance but in the first half he was invisible but so do others

Was it Herrera that played that pass out to Valencia, where he just took over the ball from another player and just whizzed it into space. Best pass of the match that was. (Although I'm not 100% it was Herrera)

@GifLord, could you help me out?

Our best ball winner and used it the best out our CM's as well, probably our best outfield player today.

Good performance overall but long passes with low to no pressure on him just have to find the target, otherwise don't opt for them.

Can you upload the 2nd half pass to Valencia? Last 10 mins I think?

Put them up side by side. The one above, outside of boot (?) and 2nd half one, inside boot.

Both times took out 3-4+ Liverpool players and both to Valencia. Fecking glorious.

Some excellent passing and some absolute terrible one too. Decent performance overall, one of our better players

This. Sublime, mixed with lots of energy, heart, quality and some abysmal execution lol. Big game player.

A bit of a frustrating performance today. A couple of really nice through balls to Valencia and Mhki, a lot of good defensive work then whenever he decided to pass above the floor it went to shit. What an important yellow he picked up in the end though.

I remember just one. Maybe you can highlight the rest. He has been our best player on the pitch so far.
He was the least poor out of the 11 out there in the first half and he was joint worst with Pogba in the 2nd half. Everyone knows he cannot pull anything other than a short, neat pass, so to watch him try and switch play with his long range balls was probably the most agitating thing I had to watch in the 2nd half. What makes it worse is his fans coming on here and making it seem like he is pulling the team on hi shoulders. One can make a full compilation out of the amount of times he misplaced a pass.

If you mean the one towards the end, yes it was Ander. There are only a handful of players in our side who can make that sort of a grounded pass- him, Juan and Mkhi

How can he be man of the match? He was so poor esp. in the second half.

He was the entirety of the midfield in the 2nd half. If people are questioning his 2nd half performance, consider the fecking substitutions that Mourinho made and the play from Pogba today. Mourinho took off the holding mid at halftime for a forward who can't reliably control a ball and withdrew the leftback and replaced him with a forward. Combine that with his midfield partner having a 'mare. He's not a world-class midfielder who can shine under those situations, but he did yeoman's work in a crap situation.

If that was a great performance we are in trouble.

We would be more fluid if we had someone in there with good passing range. Herrera is good but I think we can do better.

Can't help if i dont know the minute

It was in the last 10-15. I remember it. Took the ball from Jones' feet and then guided it between three Scousers to Valencia.

Go ahead. Make the compilation for all of us then.

I thought he played very well today. Played some quality balls at times. Should be the second name on the team sheet after De Gea.

That was another great ball out to Valencia, but the one I'm talking about was towards the end of the game when we were attacking more relentlessly. One of our players had the ball and Herrera just took over and, without taking a touch, just pinged a pass out wide into acres of space, cutting through about 3 scousers.

He was very good. He's always up for matches, wish the others played with the same intensity. Should be made captain end of season.

Not to forget his foul on Firmino in which they had basically broken through highlights his awareness on the field

I'm sorry, I just don't think he's a top footballer. He wasn't good today. In truth he's massively overrated on this forum for some strange reason.

Unbelievable. Did you even watch the game?

Some poor passes and then the two best passes of the game. If you're just going to hold your preconceptions and ignore what actually happened in the game, whats the point in posting. leading the motm poll today and rightfully so. Held our midfield together when Carrick and Pogba went missing.

Edit: 4 interceptions and 10 tackles.

You're going to get a few loose passes with him but you also get some lovely chances. Overall one of our better outfield players today. Handles pressure extremely well.

He wasnt very good, but still easily one of the better players. His performance wasnt far off his average performance this season, while most of the others lost their heads out there.

He was rubbish. Couldn't pass to save his life - bar the one to Tony -, and was doing some stupid things with the ball.

His work rate was great, but his long passing/crossing was off for the most part.
