I love the busy fecker, surely a foul on Fernando for Mata's goal but he is exactly what we need in those areas.

it was not a faul in my opinion, he was there first so he was entitled to shield the ball like he did, it was very clever play from him..

He was fantastic tonight. Seemed as if he is everywhere on the pitch - tackling, breaking up city's attack, leading us forwards...
perfect game

MOTM for me, has to be our best outfield player at the moment.

If we can get everyone else as fired up as him then this season can really pick up. For a small guy he's strong and puts himself about.

He's seriously becoming our best player under Mourinho, absolute sensation in midfield. The guy just has limitless energy.

just when you think he can't match his performance against Liverpool, he does it again! And it was possibly the best performance from a United midfielder in ages. Can't believe how good he's been lately, hope he stays fit because he makes our team play much better. Definitely my captain contender or at least an assistant from next season. I am buying a jersey with his name, just a shame he wears that ugly number 21 but I am getting him anyway:D

Ok you're right

I'm not going to bother to continue this conversation.

I know you think I'm being needlessly pedantic, but I don't understand how you can profess to have strong feelings about how good Pogba is whilst admitting on the other hand you've not seen him play enough to form that opinion. Just seems like an entire exercise in pointlessness; even if you're right its by complete chance.

And it seems especially bizarre when Herrera has been comfortably our best player in a season and team where Pogba is massively struggling.

His pressing and work rate tonight was reminiscent of his Bilbao days.

In conclusion, RedCafe is well and truly back in love with Ander Herrera.

Another MOTM performance, at his best when allowed to hunt all over the midfield, tireless energy and quality on the ball.

Excellent tonight.

When Herrera is playing at his best he's a joy to watch. If he could only be a tad more consistent with these great performances!

very well spoken always gives good interview and top lad never forgets to mention fans!

edit: I am moving to a different thread I promise

He needs to be playing closer to goal like he was tonight. He can do well in the middle like he did against Liverpool but I think he's at his best slightly further forward.

What with people?

Can't we just have something nice without people overreacting? Herrera has been in better form this season but he isn't a better midfield than Pogba, it's as simple as that. In fact Herrera has been in better form than practically anyone else in the team so far bar Bailly but that doesn't make him our best player.

Anyways back to Herrera. He's really stepped it up this year and he's a few levels above what he's ever shown which is really exiting.

The guy presses the hell out of people and is very relentless. His relentless pressing couple with his technical skills make a terrific combo for the little guy. And so far out of all our players he's the one who seem the hardest the get the ball away from.

Dude has been great this season.

Excellent! It seems he's, deservedly, won José over.

That scoop pass to Mata in the 2nd half! I need a gif of that!
