Doom-monger obsessed with Herrera & the M.E.N.
Now the club have to make sure he gets a new contract.
Check this thread, lots of shouts for Herrera being overhyped https://www.redcafe.net/threads/most-overrated-and-underrated.416503/Lot of us were saying he was being ridiculously misused with all his best attributes neutralised by the ridiculously limited system. An all action CM told to stay put, not chase the ball, not to press, not to move from his position etc. Bizarre.
Oh yes, I didn't doubt you when you said he's been labelled overhyped or not good enough etc.Check this thread, lots of shouts for Herrera being overhyped https://www.redcafe.net/threads/most-overrated-and-underrated.416503/
Yeah, i agree with what you said though, Van Gaal's management style was never going to get the best out of him, it's good to see him play to his true abilities and get the recognition he deserves, his attitude is exemplary!Oh yes, I didn't doubt you when you said he's been labelled overhyped or not good enough etc.
I remember the Sky co-commentator Terry Gibson was being interviewed on Talksport and he was going mad about how LvG was using Ander and that he was wasting his talent.Yeah, i agree with what you said though, Van Gaal's management style was never going to get the best out of him, it's good to see him play to his true abilities and get the recognition he deserves, his attitude is exemplary!

True, and it wasn't even early in the season where some still held hope that he'd recover his formThat's outrageous though, without even taking this season into account.
It is creepy even on the pitch. Watch how he's avoiding eye contact to make it less awkward. The way he followed Hazard, that would be really creepy outside the pitch.
Serious question, do people (well those who were adamant before) want him replaced by somebody else next season?
Its strange cos he didnt start the season for us did he? iirc he came on second half against City at home, and pretty much went on from there.
And to think he seemed to be punished by LVG for pressing too much or leaving positions to try and win the ball back (not being static enough). Crazy.
If only people in the Martial thread listened to you. Couldn't agree more with your point.I remember last season when plenty on here had convinced themselves that he was overhyped. Should be a warning to some that we should be showing a bit of patience, rather than writing off players after a poor season.
It's so frustrating, especially given how much he showed last season. If only people in the Martial thread listened to you. Couldn't agree more with your point.

He's underrated by united fans because a lot of us were reluctant to judge a midfielder after branding cleverly as second coming of Jesus.
There is plenty on people on here who claims he is not good enough for a side aspiring to win trophies, i strongly disagree. He might not be the next Pirlo or Iniesta, but hes as a complete a midfielder as they come these days. Great defensively, good technique and an eye for a pass
His best talent is that he can perform a variety of tasks and even carry out opponent specific jobs which require a great attention to detail and discipline. He's a Swiss army knife of a midfield player that does so many things well, without necessarily doing one thing in particular at the highest level. That type of all around ability is very special thought and exceedingly rare.
Unique player.
The heck....Got sent this by a friend:
BREAKING: Real Madrid are plotting a swoop for Ander Herrera in an attempt to bring Eden Hazard to the club. [Various]
When Young and Carrick leave he should either take 18 or 16.
Vidal would have been perfect. We could really do with another midfielder like him in the squad. Fellaini did great yesterday to be fair but he doesn't have the intensity, discipline and technical ability of Ander.
With Bastian and Schneiderlin both having left there's definitely room in the squad
i understand that the overall sentiment of your post is to praise him but i disagree that he doesn't do anything/one thing in particular at the highest level, his pressing play, work rate and the tempo he infuses into our play are of the highest level, you'd be hard pressed (ha) to find midfielders that are as good and as quick at closing down/applying pressure. his passing ability is also severely underestimated/underrated
