This is why some of us were so rabid about him not playing at basically any opportunity he could have, btw.

We should just be happy we changed managers before ten Hag ran him out of the club. In Erik's last game he looked done when he was coming on as a last resort sub.Yup. Couldn't believe there were people saying ETH was right to keep him out.
ETH judgement of talent was dubious. How can a manager with top top experience like ten Hag couldn't see Amad potential having managing him for years?
When it took only a few games for the new guy to unleash it.
EtH was too stubborn trying to make Amad play “his way”, wrong role, wrong tasksHow can a manager with top top experience like ten Hag couldn't see Amad potential having managing him for years?

I’ve never felt so vindicated for going to war against some around here.'Amad hasn't done enough with his performances', 'He has been used as much as possible compared to other players, "Look a quote by Fletcher saying he wasn't up to speed", "He's not that great anyways", "His loan at Sunderland was okay" etc etc ad nauseam.
Probably like @Globule said about EtH and Antony. But it's not like EtH played Antony all the time. At some point, Antony was frozen out also.ETH judgement of talent was dubious.
Loads of our fans didn’t rate him either.

I guess he'll be forced to do it sooner, once Yoro is fit to play and Mazraoui can be switched to WB (either side)Our best player in this position, in this formation.
Still think he'll convince the manager to use him behind the striker after he's finished giving wingers like Rashford chances in the role. But he's a menace at right wingback as well.
He must do, he’s one of our most in form players. Will he start against Arsenal with him playing a full game here
You could say that this RWB role is even more tasking and probably more confusing to Amad, though.EtH was too stubborn trying to make Amad play “his way”, wrong role, wrong tasks
One of the things that really makes me struggle with rating ETH at all is seemingly how terrible his ability to identify talent and traits is.Probably like @Globule said about EtH and Antony. But it's not like EtH played Antony all the time. At some point, Antony was frozen out also.
And it's hard to imagine a pro like EtH could totally miss out a big and obvious talent like Amad.
