Looked really solid. Yes of course it was a stroll but his positioning, awareness and every touch of the ball was right on.

More assured and composed than Onana has ever looked but the opposition was abysmal so you have to take that into account.

I feel way more assured with him on goal than Onana. Would love for him to given a EL opportunity.

The best goalkeeper of the game, revolutionary beard

Man Utd 5:2 Leicester New
I really don’t understand why we bought him.

Apparently Ten Hag didnt even acknowledge or introduce himself to him for two weeks after he signed
the only safe pair of hands from turkey that ten hag was interested in was a hair transplant surgeon.

Lacking confidence is not surprising when you have barely gotten any minutes, still managed some decent saves and really was never a ball playing GK so I won't criticise that aspect.

the last thing you’d want is for your backup goalkeeper to slot in seamlessly.

Bizarre to see people complaining, we clearly needed a second keeper, he rarely plays and cost 4.3m - for a keeper who was fairly experienced and played internationally too, it was a measured transfer in an area we couldnt commit big money too. Tom Heaton is basically a goalkeeping coach at this stage and anybody suggesting he's a suitable number 2 is just making stuff up as they go along. Of course we'd like a btter number 2, but at the minute we just dont have money to spend on a player who might feature 2-3 times a season.

Understandably he was going to be abit wobbly as he hasn't played for, like, forever.

One of many strange Ten Hag-era acquisitions is the only explanation. He is clearly very average even for smaller leagues

To play in games like tonight?
But he shitted bed and cost us one goal, even in a game like tonight

Didn’t we sell a very promising keeper in Vitek, to sign this guy for the same price?

Vitek is on loan.

Sold Kovar, but to be fair he’s 24 and probably thought he’d get a chance at Leverkusen’s first team. Wasn’t there talk of Hradecky getting sold before Kovar joined?

That’s who I was thinking of. He must’ve asked to leave.

For those saying that he was nervous, he did the splits half way through the second half whilst we were attacking. For no reason at all whilst the ball was at the other end of the pitch. He seemed to be having a lot of fun so I wouldn't say he was a bag of nerves. Most likely just a combination of not being a great keeper, and a bit rusty.

Surprised to see him being criticised for the first. He came, and won, the ball and got it to what should have been a safer position. Isn't on him that the Leicester player had about a kilometer of space afforded to him by our defence.

The defending was extremely typical of United the last couple years. Didn't work hard enough to stop the cross and then abysmal marking in the area.

Agree. Ok he maybe could have caught it but he punched to edge of box.

People need a bit of a refresher of our long list of sub keepers from the last 30 years, I think.

His distribution was sht but thats probably because we are used to Onana now. Was like having De Gea back. But other that that he did nothing wrong. Dont fault him for the 2 goals and his save was outstanding.
