Neither are close to being world class, but even though he’s had just a few starts for United Altat has looked superior to Andre during the latter’s first dozen starts for United.

2 very good saves. Surely earned himself a start vs Leicester in the Fa Cup and possibly in our next Europa game in March.

March would be a long time to be idle. A lot of credit to him from not featuring much to switching on to the level we need.

I seriously doubt that he is going to be challenging for a starting spot and after two years of limited action will peobably be looking for a move this summer. The best part from our perspective is that we signed him for a very low fee which by the summer will have a book value of around 3M. He has done enough to dispel the notion that he is a calamity keeper and so we may actually be able to make a little profit if he does move and we may well have our new number two in house already with Vitek having a strong loan spell in the Austrian Bundesliga.
