Got stick for picking Phillips, probably thought he needed a big strong striker. Even Heskey would've been better.

Will certainly be interesting to see how he lines up. Can't quite see how he'll get proper balance with the options he has ended up with – but hey, perhaps he has something specific in mind.

I pick the man third on the all time clean sheet list. Mark Schwarzer.

Another game raising ballix and a great shot stopper.

I think Ginola can comfortably play on both sides, whereas I prefer Overmars on the left
Agreed. Plus they're two completely different styles, so one can always look at the opposition and decide. Like if you see a slow LB on the opposition, might as well throw Overmars at him.

Overmars at his pomp was scary quick, remember that roasting he gave to Maldini, a rarity for that to happen.

Edit : Someone made a video. The music though

Since we're waiting around, some hints for our next pick.

Full international. Played for clubs across Europe. Won European competitions with two different teams. Won two individual personal awards from his domestic league.

Don't blurt out names :)

I always felt Overmars was a bit underrated. Probably would have been a lot higher rated if he didn't have to overcome that awful injury in the middle of his peak, which meant his three years at Arsenal weren't purely positive. But with the lesser restriction in this draft where two years is more than enough he should be able to shine.

Unplayable at his day, and even when he wasn't scoring he was a great crosser and provided loads of assists as well. He gets a bit put in to the bracket of a Walcott/Pedro player because of his speed but even Gary Neville described him as the best winger he came up against for United because of his versatility.

Well yeah, you wouldn't build a team around him so it's more a case of having him as an option. That's the name of the game now, options, and there are plenty still knocking about. The only question for most is whether they should be looking at tactical variations or backups for popular team players that may need replacing as a result of an upgrade.

No shocking omissions I can think of, but some lovely little players still available. There's one in particular who absolutely won't be picked and would never get any credit, but he was a joy to watch.

That might be the one i strongly considered for final pick. A diminutive playmaker

Always thought he could've given us a couple of years more. Anyhow, paved the way for Bobby and history.

Paved the way for a demonic left side. Henry and Pires with a young Cashley flying down the flank. F*cking nightmare!
Words will fail me when I try and describe it to my kids in years to come. However I will still maintain we were a massive disappointing in Europe. Bit of a blight that, on a team which really should have had a longer period at the top.

its brilliant what reaction Welbeck provoked, i expected some stick as its not really black on white pick and i was sure before i decided to pick him that its going to be a major vote killer but this is just brilliant.....its like i picked Gabriel Obertan. I dont want to debate about it so i wont be naming players but Danny is far from worst player in this draft, he proved himself under Fergie that he can be a part of a top team, something at plenty of picked players failed and thats what we are creating here, right? a top team.
