All time ODI Draft

Walsh has an average of 30.31 in ODI. And SR of 47.31. Not that great.
Oh, I didn't know it was that bad. Thought since it was walsh, it'll still be solid. But he's boycott's 3rd pacer. That's still better than some of the other teams bowling thus far (of those who posted at least).

That's what I meant to test match players being overrated in this format. Same goes for Imran Khan I reckon.

there's a 5 vote fine for poor over rate, so you'll need to prove somehow by timing run ups and average time between balls that you will meet it.

Is there someone reliable and safe (even from the NSA) that @Mani and me can leave our choice with incase it reaches our turn ?

?

Averages 26 with the ball and 33 with the bat.

Watson averages 41 with bat and 33 with ball.

And yet Imran Khan was a first round pick while I was criticised for picking watto in second round. It's a game of perceptions. Khan was an ATG in test but not so in ODI. Terrific captain.

Alright, sorry lads. I'll go with an all rounder with 199 ODI wickets. Adds some pace to the line up.

The problem with Watson is all those LBW's have given him a bad rap. I agree though, in ODI's he's a good pick.

Imran is still better mind and one the best all rounders even in ODI's.

One of the greatest cricketing captains ever, who with his leadership qualities instilled the tenacity and winning belief into the Sri Lankan team who till 1996 were considered as the minnows. A very good middle-order batsman as well, who could hit big when needed and while not the quickest between the wickets, mastered the art of finding the gaps and walking the singles(;)) and thereby kept the scoreboard ticking.

Obviously he's better than Watson. IMO he won't be counted as top 20 player in ODIs(Imran Khan)

This is maybe my opinion and I am sure many will disagree. But I used to think a superior bowling can win you a test match, but a superior batting wins you the ODI. It's hard for any bowler in the world, even the best to affect that much change with the white bowl.
Yep. Tbf, fielding can win you a close ODI too. In ODIs the wickets come mostly when you can choke the runs.

Severe lack of hitters imo. Bowling is very good but not sure it makes for the batting.
Your MO in a test match would win you any match comfortably but Bevan alone as a hitter won't suffice I reckon. Awesome bowling though.

These two are sufficient. Bevan's SR is significantly better batting first simply because he had the licence to go for it. Chasing scores his SR would drop but this is because he wanted to ensure he dragged the team over the line (which he did 9 out of 10 times) rather than going for personal glory.

At 7 I've got a guy who obviously can strike the ball, just look at his records and the video above. Also you have to consider the Dhoni factor. When Dhoni is at the other end Jadeja plays a supporting act. When Dhoni isn't there Jadeja is the hitter. Just look at these two contrasting innings in the space of 3 days: When playing with Dhoni (62 from 54, 78 minutes). When playing without Dhoni (66 from 45, 77 minutes).

Agree. But a genuinely good batsmen will almost always find the gaps. Even an athletic fielder can't do much there.

Off to sleep. Anyway chances of it being our team's turn even in morning are very very slim. Maybe it will be closer to noon by the time it is our turn.
