Your Initial picks were very strong, but now it looks a little underwhelming. Kirsten and Kohli are good. But wouldn't Lamb and Chanderpaul (I didn't even know he opened until now) bring it down too much ?
Move Dhoni at 5, Flintoff at 6, Shakib at 7. You've wrecked your batting order.
dhoni is good at 7. he averages 47 in 28 innings with 2 centuries while batting at 7. (he often comes 5 down for india anyway). He is good in pretty much all positions from 3-7 so its a waste looking for his best position
Dhoni at 6-7 is fine. It all depends on what is required of the team. If batting first, he should probably play ahead of freddie. If chasing a game, he should probably play ahead of freddie.

and these arent final positions tbh. Depends on our next picks. If we get players that suit us, this goes on. Chanders can bat in the middle order too and Dhoni can move up as well. Dhoni at 7 isnt that far fetched. I remember the pakistan game in chennai some 3 years back dhoni scored 113 or so batting at 7. Freddie is very good at 5. Shakib and O'Donnell would be required to do tailend stuff mostly.
Excellent bowling line-up. But maybe Martyn at 4 and Taylor at 5. I don't know much about De Kock. If he can play at 5. Then Taylor-Martyn-Do Kock would be ideal.

We were thinking of moving Imran below KP and Maxwell, but KP opening? Dont think he has done that a lot.
That's a decent shout. At the moment Martyn is my finisher whereas Taylor is more the anchor but that might change with the next picks.
You are wasting your second best batsman by moving him at 6. Get him to open. Its a non brainer. He usually played at number three for England anyway.

That's not the order. Lara at 3, Smith 4, KP 5 and Imran/Maxwell at 6/7. That's our tentative plan

Martyn was very versatile. But it's better to use him as a solid foundation for you batsmen at the death to make use of. Taylor was always a little hot and cold. Which is why you could probably play with him at 3 or at 5 depending on what you're looking to extract. I don't know much about de Kock, so can't comment on him.
