fyi We've agreed on a keeper after De Kock went but given only two teams remian who haven't yet picked one, we reckon he's safe enough for now. In fact he's pretty much 100% safe to be picked.

Jadeja is the one I had in mind when I said that it was surprising that people were not picking spin bowling all rounders.

Obviously I didn't expect Jadeja to be picked in the first few rounds,I was just surprised that everyone just wanted the same 4+1 combination.

He doesn't add much as a spinner unless you are playing on flat turners so it isn't a surprise really.

He's a very average batsman who sometimes gets away with slogging. Bit like Afridi, only a lot worse.

Nah, he fine as a bowler. Will usually keep the runs down and pick the odd wicket at minimum. Become a genuine wicket taker if the pitch suits him. A necomomy rate of less than 5 is quite good.

Again his best knocks with the bat came in NZ while his most important knock in both test and Odi's came in England. In a 12 player draft he gives you a very good option if you want to go from 4+1 to 3+2 at any time.

What's his stats home and away? I'd be surprised if he's delivered consistently away from the subcontinent.

He's a decent option, I'm not arguing that. Considering his very mediocre batting though, I'd rather go for the Indian spinner still unpicked. Atleast you get 1 aspect at a good level, jadeja's just very meh.
 
jadeja will bowl his overs in a minute. so his bowling over rate will be good but batting will be overrated.

No way. He played at a time when the team was near garbage. He played at 5 and was the last batsman in our team followed by a bunch of rubbish with bat players. Still has 6 centuries and 30 50s to his name and not a slow player by any means. He was literally the last man standing between us and defeat as everyone after him was trash and that puts a spin on peoples opinions about him. Had he played with someone like Dhoni, now that would be a juicy partnership! I would say he was the best #5 India had till the before Dhoni era and still one of the top in that position. Cracking fielder, good running between the wickets and dependable for quick 35 runs.
