All-Time Fantasy Draft

You are out of order talking to me like that when I have done nothing wrong. The whole reason I had to get involved despite being ridiculously busy was to suit your schedule and get it done before you went on holiday. I had one day to do it for god sake, with work which would be enough, but I also had other commitments.

I told you right away the earliest would be 8-9 as thats the first opportunity I'd have to myself to do them. Yet when I logged on there were 10 or so PM's telling me to get it done for 3oclock. Completely outrageous. Then you have the audacity to act all pissed off.

I stuck to the 9pm schedule. I logged on after finishing everything up and PMed NM his new player profiles, then had this conversation.

T- I had to pick my son up NM. Been so fecking busy trying to get this done.

I'll start PMing you them now, these ones aren't for Brwned but to update the player profiles in the main draft thread.

NM - no worries. i was just confused and hazy. i dont think this will happen this weekend now anyway. let me talk to antohan

T - Yeah I wasn't having a go or anything, just had a ridiculously busy day. The missus is kicking off as well, its fecking shit.

Ahh right okay, fair enough. Take it'll be monday then?

If its not going on Im logging off and gonna see if she wants to go out for a meal or summit.

Are you gone for good mate or will you play Dan? With your teamsheet we could do as we've done for the other match, send me rough formation and I'll knock it out for you.
 
To be fair, it doesn't take that much time to setup a formation, write down tactic, and PM it. The thinking of formation can be done anywhere and anytime; while you're driving, eating, before go to bed, etc. The drawing only take about 5 min. The writing on tactic takes longer, but I'm pretty sure people had a certain plan when picking up their 3 players. Players profile, just copy and paste it from previous game. And PM it only take 15 seconds.

The game itself, now that really takes commitment.

Based on everyone's input I said there were two options: 3PM or 8-9PM. I was fully aware you had said in your case it was more a case of 8-9PM.

The moment NM said he had sent you the stuff we concluded it would be 9PM. I have no issues with the delay from 3-9PM.

What I do have an issue with is you not bothering to PM either Brwned or myself to let us know 8-9PM was a no-go or that you had passed on stuff to NM, anything really. We sat here like complete twats wasting our times.

Now, I understand anyone can have personal stuff going on, much like I have in that I'm leaving tonight for several days. What we were trying to do was fit everything together in a way that suited disparate constraints.

What didn't work was that after being told you would be on at 8-9PM you didn't show up or contact us when you actually did log on. It's very simple. Brwned even bothered to explain to me he was going offline for half an hour to get some grub while we were waiting.

The real shame is NM has apologised, when there was no need for him to do so. Stobzilla has got pissed off, when there was no "tone" actually intended at him. All that we would expect is a reasonable reaction from you. An apology and explanation of reasons would do. Instead you go off on one.

I certainly won't be asking you for one after all this though, would be a bit of a prick to stand on my high horse demanding apologies. I'll put it down to all the shit you seem to be dealing with. It happens, stuff throws us off kilter. And let's leave it at that.

The 3pm deadline was never anything I was told, nor was it something I could have done if I had wanted to. When I logged on at night I had about 10 PM's telling me to get it done for 3pm, that was it and means nothing at all. It was just you making unreasonable demands.

I did come on at 9pm, did all the player write ups and most of the rest before being told this, "NM - no worries. i was just confused and hazy. i dont think this will happen this weekend now anyway. let me talk to antohan". Maybe I should have double checked with you but that PM makes it sound like you were talking with NM.

Stop saying 'we', if Brwned wants to talk about it then he'll PM me.

I sent Brwnd a rough idea of the changes I was making, if he can forward you that and then knock up the formation graphic then go for it.

It was a pain in the arse to sit around waiting but I guess you didn't realise or were too worked up about having this extra thing to worry about amid others and felt like saying "feck off" to anyone around you, much like me being pissed off I was missing a wedding sitting in front of a PC!

Shit happens. Let's move on.
 
Stobzilla, don't have the details from you but from a post you had made earlier I put this together. Would this work? If not, why not work with ColdBoy on it? I'm off for a few days so won't see the reply.

Let's get that one done this weekend so we can draw the semis for midweek when the caf should be very active.

Very well. Can't tell how much of the drafting, tactics, etc. is you or Theon but you had some great gamethread interventions and at all times have been a pleasure to have on here.

You are a gentleman. Just don't get so outraged at others defending their teams tooth and nail! I've made a point of not saying any actual bullshit about any of your players. I've commented on the tactics, their disposition/fit and, yes of course, Zamora being from the 1920s. I do actually think he would hardly be better than Friedel (and I'm generous) if you brought him forward to today. Is it unfair on Zamora? Sure, but nothing wrong with throwing that sort of curveball and seeing whether it sticks.

Get used to that, it's a massive part of the gamethread fun, otherwise they are just really boring affairs where you keep repeating the same shit 20 times every time someone asks the same question in a different way.
 
Kudos to NM and Antohan for carrying forward the draft despite having important commitments. Great spirit from both.

By something changing I mean Stobzilla sending his tactics and indicating a willingness to go ahead with the game starting tonight post MU-RM.

Seriously just get the game going I will put my tactics in the thread, I am working 8:30am - 11pm shifts this week for the over time so I am going to have to do it on the fly.
 
No worries Cutch. We should aim to have teams/profiles sent by midnight on Sunday and play on Monday to take advantage of the FA Cup traffic. This needs some life reinjected into it.

:D C'mon, that video had a player from the opposition missing a penalty. If anything it favoured your team!
 
I reckon Monday will be better seeing as the FA Cup game is on. We can have both going at the same time, which should help build up interest for the final as well.

Dan must be pretty weed off. Picking Matthaus would leave him with no right back, he would have been looking forward to picking Zanetti prior to the final, not Eyzaguirre :lol:
