I have Robson, arguably the better player. didn't need Keane.
I agree that you didn't need him, but people tend to go for the biggest name anyhow so I was still scared!

nah after wasting money on beardsley,dixon and hoddle due to a lack of time and research am playing it a bit smarter. pace in attack and improvement in defense were a must. if only I had thirty mill more
I thought neither of you would want a central midfielder for the big bucks, but I was sure that one of you would buy one! I had you and MJJ pegged to pick up either two strikers, one striker and a defender, or two defenders. My predictions were way off with both teams!

yup getting the second best LW in the draft for less than forty mil is good business. and rio who is as good as any defender out there.

was reading up on him, think his stronger foot was his left one but he played the majority of his career/preferred playing on the right so am a little surprised if he was as good as giggs on the left .
would put him right up there with best imo.

Given that my attempt to secure Giggs (which was unrealistic, to be fair - that is Giggs AND another player was not realistic) failed, I shall now have to play a more high stakes game, I think. More adventurous, if you like. And that's cool.
Great to see some Franklin love. Hopefully he'll finally get a draft win under his belt after having been shafted by @antohan in the all-time one and squeezed out this time round.

Should have let them land Scholes and pick Baxter for a twenty note. High risk, but high reward for your moneybags factor later, and with Stiles doing a Makelele behind him and Gazza you could probably pull it off. Or maybe not after being demoted to the second bowl.

Can't believe Annah got Keane. Favourites for this draft imo.
Love Mjj's picks as well. He had some terrific players but was lacking a bit of pace and width. Now he's got none other than Giggs to provide that extra dimension. Rio pick was brilliant as well and he has a great and complementary defensive duo as a result.
Raees for me is the dark horses in this. He already has an unbelievable core in McNeill, Campbell, Bremner, Mackay, Ball and Law - all (one or two debatable) worthy of playing in a final imo. He's now added 2 great wingers in Bale and Meredith. His forwards Carter and Jones were always bound to be underrated and I guess he's probably made the most improvement from this reinforcements round.

He was one of the first names on my sheet. But I underestimated both A) his below-radar status and B) that pesky quota.
In retrospect I would have done things differently, but I'm chuffed I've got him now. Means I have to do something unorthodox in the upcoming match, but I actually like/prefer that.

I'll certainly try. I've been holding back the one, obvious remark to be made every time someone has portrayed this or that or the other one as the "second best defender" in the draft, that is, the one behind Moore. Franklin would be that man: He was Moore before Moore, only even...moore...complete.
In terms of natural talent, he's second to none in this draft. An English Baresi, or Scirea, or Figueroa.
Woohoo. Someone who rates him as highly as I do. I never had the balls to make that statement though
but tried my best through my write up which I suspect some might have even thought was overblown or tongue in cheek.
