All ticket/travel information thread - 2009/10: Touting will not be tolerated

I got a full body search when for Wolfsburg (h). That's never happened before.

But everything seemed to be back to normal for Sunderland, including access on OAP tickets for non-OAPs (and the tickets we have in North flash green).

I had NEVER had any problems at all using OAP and u16 concession tickets until last Wednesday against Wolfsburg. I got in, but my mate was stopped and asked to show his ticket outside W16. We used the excuse another mate had used before in a different part of the ground, that his brother had gone on in earlier as he was in the pub and obviously messed up the tickets but the steward was having none of it. Asked him to ring his brother etc, and obviously as most will know there is more chance of an atmosphere in the South Stand than getting signal in or around OT on match day.

Like I said, I personally have never had a problem but though I'd let you know as this only happened last week.

EDIT: Also, the light definitely DID flash orange when I walked through, luckily the woman in the turnstile box was facing the other way.

did you two not get in then?

Scouse away has been shite lately, although it improved last year apparently, although that's the only one of the last four i haven't been too.
Sadly the result didn't go with it.

To be honest I will take almost any ticket to any game as I just moved to Leeds from Norway primarily (secondly to do some studying) to watch as many matches as possible. Just wanted to get some response on just how difficult getting tickets to Anfield was, and I realise now I might as well give up :p

Other than that I am probably interested in any tickets I can get. Other than lurking around in this thread, what's the easiest/cheapest way? Sign up for OneUnited?

I believe there were a few around for Wolves at home last week.

Could you not make it from Leeds?

Are you a big game Red Phelans shorts?

I have to admit, this year, for the first time in my short life, i'm bordering on it :annoyed:

no i just get sweet FA away from home, seriously go to all home games for 3 years, apply for all away games in the same time, go to rome, my dad went to moscow aswell and we get absolutely nothing at stoke, its a bleeding joke the TO should sort out there policy [/rantfornow]

How long does it take to get from OT to Piccadilly after a 3pm kickoff? Is a 6pm train back cutting it fine? Cab or bus?

no that should be fine, if you get out quickish and get one a bus you should be in the station within half an hour of the final whistle!

Only I did mate, my mate just went back to the Trafford. Was good seeing you again lad, we'll both be up for the Bolton game again and I won't be driving this time so arrange a pre-game drink or two nearer the time.

ahh right thats a shame after you two had travelled so far!

and awsome, i live about ten mins from town so im good for whenever with times and stuff so give us a bell when you get into manc!

Liverpool results are available if it hasn't already been mentioned. Success!

I almost missed the Barnsley applications, just chance that I called the ticket line late, late last night. Did I miss the email or was there none?
