Right, I'm going to have to sell my ticket for the Wolfsburg game, if I can, as I am struggling for money at the moment. North Stand, East Quadrant; bought for £37 but will let it go for £30.
Any chance there is a Wolfsburg ticket going. Ticket and cash transfered outside ground on the night of the match is my only option unfortunately.

What's the best pub to go to before the match again (I'll be with the missus)?

Tram from st peters squareWhat's the best way to get to the ground from Piccadilly - is the tram running yet or is the bus a better option?

Tommorow will be first time at Old Trafford, first of many hopefuly. I've made a search on the best way to get to the ground from Piccadilly station and the tram seems the best option. However, I'm not sure after the match it'll get me to the station in time for my train which leaves at 7:50!. Anyone knows who long is the journey?
EDIT: Just read Elvis' post, I think i'll consider a taxi after the game.
Thanks Bread. I'll rush out right at the end and get a taxi. A taxi is the safest option, i don't wanna get in a bus and hope its the right one, as I always do hehe.
A taxi after the game is certainly NOT the safest option.
I'm not sure how feasible getting a taxi after the game is going to be to be honest mate. You could be waiting for hours trying to get one and then you have to deal with the matchday traffic.
Your best bet is to catch the train (not the tram) from under the South Stand (queue in the South Stand tunnel). One goes on the final whistle, one 20 mins afterwards, but they are quicker than the tram or a taxi, reliable, and take you into Piccadilly station.
Thanks Ralphie that was really helpful. I've decided to take the train to Oxford Road (turns out i can catch my train from there with more time to spare). A website says the station in the south stand is unstaffed and no ticket machines!. I'm hoping to get a ticket in my free time before the game.
There are turnstiles you have to go through to get on to the platform, you can pay in cash.
Hate to be a wet blanket but saw a girl turned away at city game who was trying to get in on child ticket.Warned her it was an offence that was liable to prosecution
Really? We've been using OAP tickets for about 15 years and have never been challenged.
I'm a fairly young looking 20, what are my chances of getting in off an Under 16 ticket in the South?
