Wait. Crazy Ricky Roll just mentioned Lyon accepting a bid. More to follow.
cock out.
I hope SSN don't get hold of all these rumours. God knows what they might do with them.

Why doesn't the caf just estivate until after the Euros?
And shouldn't this be in the transfer forum?
I think we should start a legit looking website with complete bullshit stories and see how many of them catch on.cock out.

According to KEY 103, We've put a bid in for Kaka!
It's a huge mess this.
Pay attention!!
Cristiano Ronaldo would like to play for Real Madrid if the Spanish club is indeed willing to open up its bank account.
"Yes, I would like to play for Real Madrid," Ronaldo told Brazil's Terra Web site today. "But only if it is true that they are willing to spend with me and with Manchester United the amount they are saying they are. But it's not up to me."
The star winger did not elaborate.
Ronaldo had been silent about his future since Portugal arrived in Neuchatel for this month's European Championship. He said recently that he would soon announce his plans for the future, but apparently changed his mind after arriving in Switzerland.
"It's important to a send a message," he said, according to Terra. "Starting today, I don't talk about this subject with absolutely no one. I will only talk about this after the Euros."
The world's media have been speculating on Ronaldo's future for months, with Madrid reportedly willing to pay a world record transfer fee for the favorite to win FIFA's 2008 World Player of the Year award.

Does anyone seem to think his attitude is that, he knows Real Madrid want him and if they make a bid that United accept, then happy days he'll go to them, if not, shit happens and he'd happily carry on for us. Yet the media is just turning it into a nightmare for everyone.
I don't think he desperately wants to leave this club personally.

Someone needs to do a summary. I had to go back 6 pages to figure out what was going on.
As things stand, the Terra quotes were apparently given yesterday. No one reported it until today(even though you would imagine a story of this magnitude would get out pretty quickly), when someone posted it on here. Not too long after, it began to appear on other sites. They all began to report it with the line "according to Terra". Apparently since then someone from the Portugese FA has been on SSN saying there was no interview, and I think SSN have interviewed the reporter's gardeners nephew, who used to drive a bus. Or something.
Draw your own conclusions from that.
Wind up ?

Don't be silly.

Had the same idea. I bet we could do our own news reports/articles on Redcafe. The tabloids always search the net for*cough* news.
'I would love to play alongside Giggs' said Kaka, a big fan of United and the United legend.
Heres a plan. I am looking for a business partner.
The idea is to set up a blog/website, and call it "latestonronaldo.com"
On this site, we will make up news and random quotes every two hours and claim it to be "Exclusive information from sources close to Ronaldo" and occasionally even attribute quotes to Ronaldo himself.
Then we circulate the links to places like the caf and other football forums. When traffic increases sufficiently, well put in some google ads and stuff.
We'll make a neat packet by the time this summers up.
Applicants PM me your CVs demonstrating your skills to take this venture forward.
This thread is about summaries, it's about unbounded speculation.
The guy who created this story on the terra story is probably pretty happy. This is the biggest WUM in the history of the internet. Every paper will be reporting this tomorrow.
It's probably REVELZ.
feck off, Spoony. I've already patented this idea 3 pages before you.
So this reporter who doesn't actually work a newspaper or TV company gets a world exclusive days ago and can't even sell it to Marca -despite the fact he's based in Spain? Well, yeah, I'm convinced.
Actually though - the alleged quote would be interesting if it had been from Ron. I'll rephrase it: Put your money where your month is Calderon.
- because personally I reckon most of it will be in IOUs, gift vouchers and Tesco Clubcard points
Madrid have been doing double-speak on this for the past week. No bid and excusing themselves from that by claiming they can't bid without United's agreement (what? United won't tell them their fax number?) and hoping that Ronaldo would do it for them.

He may be the best player in the world, but we are the best club in the world. Whether he leaves or not the effect is minimal.

The effect wont be minimal though will it. united will be ok though i think.
Why wouldnt it be? IMO it would give Rooney and Tevez more freedom and more of the ball. I'll be honest If he does leave we'll still win the league next year.
Just sell the fecker...
