It'll be sad to see him go BUT I hope it happens in the most professional way possible. For years now we have had to put up with these rumours, reports and quotes from people around him and the media alike. He is a fantastic player BUT I hope he knows what he really wants in his professional career.Farewell son (If Fergie grants him his wish). I am pissed off BUT I understand how he feels (or not you fecking cnut!). Thanks for the memories, the teases, and the piss taking as well.

I do NOT wish your prospective employers any success at all. I bear no grudges son. United was here, is here and will always be here. We have seen many greats come and go in all sorts of ways.
You had the chance to fully cement your place in United's folklore son, whilst I do think that you deserve a great mention, I'm in no doubt that your sticking around would have made you THE LEGEND of the LEGENDS..

Screw this, I am getting all emotional now.

Yours truly

Ronaldo breaks Madrid silence

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence over his future by declaring a desire to move to Real Madrid.

The transfer story of the summer gathers pace by the day but prior to speaking to Brazilian website Terra, little of note had been offered by the Manchester United winger.

Sir Alex Ferguson and United's owners, the Glazer family, are united in their stance that Ronaldo will not be allowed to quit Old Trafford but their resolve to keep him will now be further tested by the player's latest declaration.

Speaking from Portugal's training base in the Swiss city of Neuchatel, Ronaldo admitted, according to Terra, that a move to the Spanish capital appealed.

"I want to play for Real Madrid, but only if it is true they are eager to pay me and Manchester United what they have been saying they will," said Ronaldo.

"However, it does not depend on me. It is important to send a message.

"From now on I will not talk again about this until the end of the Euros. It is not worth asking me because I will not reply."

On Wednesday, Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said he would not risk ruining his club's relationship with Manchester United by bidding for a player under contract.

However, now Ronaldo has signalled his intent for a future in Spain, it could be Madrid that make the next move.

On Skysports now... :(

FFS. If one of you lazy cnuts from Sky News/Setanta/Guardian etc is reading this, stop pinching stories from a football forum, that are likely to be false, and putting them in the international news cycle. Instead of copying and pasting whatever salacious tat you can find on message boards where anything can be posted, perhaps you ought to simply report the news as it is. And people wonder why no one trusts the media anymore.

calm down fellas....dont forget the toughest manager in World Football is not going to let any player or club...even if they happen to be Ronaldo or Real bully him into doing something he does not want to do.

Fergie has said this deal wont go through...he is not selling...so the only alternative IF all this is true and it Does sound like Ronaldo wants an improved contract...then United need to cough up.

I dont begrudge him that....

but if the unthinkable happens and United sell him I will wish him the best....heck we would not have won back to back titles and had the most succesful season since 1999 if not for him.

I am still confident we will see Ronaldo playing for us for a few more years....

whatever happens Manchester United will always go on.....

All the stories have come from the same source.

Jeeeeeeezus you lot need to relax. Have you no learnt anything from the past.

Until i see it come from his lips myself or i see an official announcement that we have accepted a bid i'll believe nothing.

I created a thread after the world cup calling Ronaldo a cock for his behaviour.

Every time he played well it was bumped.

Maybe I was right again, as he is again acting like a cock through his silent treatment.

Perhaps I should bump my thread for a fecking change.

Some people are gullible as feck.

Doesn't excuse Ronaldos silent treatment. Fans deserve better than this. The clubs deserve better than this. Fergie deserves better.

Such twatish behaviour, if he goes he won't be remembered as "the winger who scored 42 goals in a season and won the double ", he'll be remembered as a disloyal cnut.

He's a cnut, everyone knows that. Or should know that.

Someone said it a few days ago but it's true. Ronaldo turns into a cnut as soon as he leaves Old Trafford.

That was me.

It's true....Fergie keeps him in check. At Portugal he thinks he's the best there... he might think that at United ,but players such as Giggs and Scholes command more respect at United than he ever will.

That thread was as ill-judged and poorly thought out as some of your posturing in this thread. I wouldn't bump it if I was you.

There's no need to continue living in denial mate, lets just accept it. I used to be in denial all this time until it suddenly hit me, who is he?an exceptional footballer? YES BUT is he the club? Will he outlive the club?.Its sad, i'm hurt BUT there are finer and better things in life. I'm getting engaged soon.

So, there's little point in accusing the media or anyone else of stirring up trouble. If the lad really wanted to QUELL the rumours, put to bed everything and allay our fears, he would have just as easily have called on a news conference and said these words " I want to be at United NOT anywhere else".

It has been a excellent season and I thank him for being a major part of it.

to put things into perspective: Ladbrokes

If his gone leave then the is an upside to it which is we are gone see Rooney doing the biz and be the star of the team, and also more players to join the club

I don't know what the panic is. Even if he does leave, we will be financially able to replace him with someone decent enough. He might be arguably the best player in the world, but he is not too big for this club. I'd rather he didn't leave, but like Cantona said, we can be great without Ronaldo.

I stand by everything I said in that thread - he was a cock.

He's being a cock now, again.

United need to cough up!! What after he's used these dirt tactics to get a new contract, his attitude alone should deny him any talks over an improved contract! He's really pissed off many a United fans these last few weeks, he obviously isn't that bothered about the club or its fans and leaving us in limbo! As it's been mentioned before, not one individual player is bigger than Manchester United... seems to me this lad thinks he is!! :nono:

Anyone wants to have a bet with me? I say he will play for us next season.

:)

I would put money on him going to Madrid before putting money on him to stay

Ok, there's a breaking news banner on ssn saying that ronaldo want's to join real madrid... can someone tell me what the fcuk is going on please?
