ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

He does, for being naive and gullible enough to believe the shite that Calderon talks. In my book, that's all he's guilty of.
You're as gullible and naive as you think Ronaldo is. :wenger:

Ronnie could have ended it directly after Moscow. In fact we all thought he had because he said those magic words. Then he retracted. When he says the magic words again this will all go away and Calderon will disappear in a puff of smoke. This is totally of Ronnie's making. All others are bit players. (Except God, of course, who is omnipotent and omnipresent)

Calderon's comments have been going on all season. 'we will not give up'. Like I said before, Ronnie said he was happy here plenty of times last season (infact he didn't start making noises about leaving until May). However, no matter how many times he said he was happy and no matter how many times Gill or Fergie said he wasn't for sale, Calderon never shut up. It didn't stop him. Its the same now. Ron may have changed his attitude but Gill and Fergie still have the same stance. I believe all the BS media reports of 'a source close to Ronaldo' will have stopped if Ronnie had put an end to this after Moscow but Calderon's words won't have. If that had happened, He would have continuted his words and tactics until Ronnie was unsettled.
He is hoping his determination will land Ronaldo. He is trying to be like Perez over the Zidane saga, where in the end Moggi gave one of the reasons of selling Zidane as 'Perez was absolutely determined to take him to Madrid'.
To sum up, do I think Ronnie not saying 'I stay' is giving the media work. Yes. Do I think him not saying it will have stopped Calderon's BS? No. Because the man is famous for spouting BS. Take 'if Manchester United don't want to sell there is nothing we can do' to accusing us of lying to drive his price up as a prime example

Regardless of what happens with the Ronaldo situation, let us put together a Redcafe fund to hire a sniper to rid the human race of Ramon Claderon.

this pleases me.

saf should say he would only sell ronaldo if the price is right and if claderon licks his feet at old trafford live before the our first match starts.

Fair comment. Madrid can't afford what they know will be an horrendous price, so Calderon is trying to drive a wedge between Ronnie and the club and hope, both, to make a move likely and drive the price down. He's used all sorts of camp followers, i.e. Marca, Ballague, even Blatter to try and support him. Nothing has changed, if we don't listen to Calderon he just shouts louder. He's got nothing new. He's a desperate person, his position's on the line but it, simply, aint working.

Ronnie's at fault for buying his shite because shite is what it is. But even Ronnie wants to see money where his mouth is and won't go without substantial funds to us. Neither will he put in a transfer request to make it easier for Calderon.

And Calderon would have alleged that both the club and Ronnie are just holding out for more money. Come on, this is more about Calderon and his position than it is about Ronnie. There's no point. The facts are straightforward. If Madrid offer acceptable money and we agree, he'll go, - that's his payback to us, if not, he won't. Let's say, miracle of miracle's, Calderon offers £100m. We refuse. He'd then expect Ronnie to hand in a request. But to what avail? he'd be told to feck off and get on with it. What's he going to do? go on strike? Give up.

I say again, this is all Ronnie's making. Two words from Ronnie and Calderon disappears in a puff of smoke.
The only reason Madrid are continuing this shit is because of Ronnie's non commitment.
Calderon has said one piece of truth. That this is all between the player and Manchester United. United have stated their stance. Ronnie has not stated his. That's what we're waiting for. This was started by Ronnie, this has continued because of Ronnie and this will only end when, as I have said before, the greasy laddie sings

Again, it comes back to the question. Why did Calderon not shut up when Ronnie said he was happy last season (up until May when he started singing a different tune), and when Gill and SAF said he was not for sale even then? Its not like Calderon mentioned once that he was interested in Ronaldo, Ronaldo then started making noises about going and Calderon has only spoken since then. For about a year he has not shut up about Ronaldo.

Calderon is not going to give up until he is sacked because they have failed to land Ronaldo. Even if Ronaldo says 'I stay', I can bet Calderon won't give up. Real Madrid presidents don't work like that

When Ronaldo gave that last interview in the US, I bet he did not know that SAF had gone public in South Africa about his meeting with him.

I think we should all club together to buy Calderon a leaving present in light of his iminent redundancy.

Suggestions welcome

Back from a trawl of the Spanish/Portguese press - a few highlights. Calderon is talking about United playing hardball to keep the price high, but the alleged theme of his private briefings is that Ron won't let them down (aka chicken out) now - not like Kaka etc did last year. Incidentally, Spain is basically on holiday now and Calderon apparently sent the Madrid board on holiday wearing happy smiles.

Or not. Some of the board remain sceptical of the possibility, the price and even the desirability of a transfer. Madrid allegedly have 20m (euros) pocket money, and a 70m bank loan arranged.

AS is still reporting alleged insider rumours like Nani "knows" that Ron won't play again for United and that Ron still thinks he was "promised" an easy way out (if he wanted it) when he signed his new contract last year (hence why he signed a long contract without a buyout clause)

Robinho has said that he wants to leave and cited Madrid's attempts to use him in part-exchange or to raise cash for Ron as proof of why he should go.
And finally - one rumour does get denied by Ron:
The Mirror last week reported that he blew 10k on drink at a club in LA, and attempted some drunk, crutch-less dancing.
Ron's lawyers have stated - the drinks were free, courtesy of the club (good negotiating skills there), Ron was sticking to water and juice, and not only didn't attempt to ditch the crutches, he didn't even ditch the physiotherapist.
- which I guess demonstrates that he hasn't completely lost the plot

RM keeps talking and talking... wouldnt it be time to lodge a bit first?

Nope!

They're still waiting for Ron to bed one of SAF's God-daughters - The News of the World did report he was chatting up a "Scottish girl" in a LA club so he's trying.

Assuming that tactic fails, they're hoping that Ron cracks completely - takes it out of the hands of God - and tells the world's press that he's leaving and that he'll scream and scream until we let him go.

If there is a pricetag on Ron at the moment it's more than they want to pay.

Day 59 of the Battle of Broken Hearts:

Real won't bid. Any bid, especiailly one they could afford, would be rejected.

They want Ronaldo to ask for/agitate for a transfer. He seems not keen to go that far.

United won't sell.

Caldero, unlike Perez, isn't that good at always getting his man.

No news at all really.

“I’ve had hundreds of questions about Manchester United and Real Madrid,” he said evasively. “What do you want me to say? That I’m going or I’m staying?

“I don’t know about the future, only God knows it. I can’t say any more.

This is the bit that gets me. This is at the heart of the matter. The very crux. The hub. The root. The centre. The heart. The pivot.
Yes Ronnie....we want you to say if you're staying or going. That's what we're all waiting for. You'll get no more hundreds of questions after you answer that one. The world will return to normal.
He obviously knows the question we all want answered, so why won't he answer it?
cnut springs to mind.

Not sure if the point has been raised at all in here or not, but it seems like the best best for me to say it.

Over a period of time now I have noticed some rather cnutish behaviour from our Ronaldo, hope it's just my imagination here.

Anyone else starting to have these same thoughts?

Or is it just me?

Ronaldo doesnt know his own future. All this time the boy had no plans for his life. Someone needs to remind him that you cannot just be a drifter. You have to know where you're going and how you're going to get there.

“What do you want me to say? That I’m going or I’m staying?"

Well, that's the bit that made me like I do after we lose to Liverpool too. Which is a combination of despair and murderous rage, along with frustration and (non sexual) impotence.

He's playing us for cnuts, the cnut.

My best guess? Because at the moment he wants to give the wrong answer. He wants to say that he's given the English game his best shot and now he'd like to try his luck in La Liga - but United have told him he can't.

As soon as those, "they'd sooner have a player in the stands" remarks from SAF, became "Ron can rot in the reserves" headlines I was worried that we were in danger of taking away some of the things Ron found positive about the club - like his belief that they respected his professionalism and the trust that had built up from that. Certainly Ron's mood went downhill fast afterwards.

At the moment, via the press, he's getting stick from Gill and carrots from Calderon. He needs to be thinking about playing football again before United will look like his home rather than just the people that own his contract.

There could be a little truth in that, sure.

Doesn't absolve his behaviour though.
