I'm not confusing anything no player is bigger than the club and I think you will find I have constantly said Ronaldo has been stupid all through this, his behavior has been very poor. All that said Ferguson has said he is staying so I am of the opinion that we as fans should get behind him while he is here. If Ferguson, who has done more for the football club than anyone, decides Ronaldo has a place in our side then that is enough for me.

Now the thing about adversity can be countered by looking at the Ronaldo situation from two years ago he said he wanted to leave then, he said he couldn't come back here but in the end he did. Since then he has been English player of the year for those two years, one of the big reasons is we got behind him, it clearly benefits the club.

Your right about clubs not coming any bigger than Utd but that status can be damaged what will Nani and Anderson think when ronaldo scores and there is very little reaction from the crowd? What about players looking in.

I dont post often in this thread but that is mainly because i hate every single spastic here.

Here is how i see things, ronaldo is not casting doubts over his future the media is. Ronaldo simply does not want to commit long term because his dream is to play in La Liga but he is constantly hassled by the media about it and if he says nothing they jump on him. i would prefer him to say "i dont know what the future holds" rarther than saying "I stay" and then fecking off next year.

Now dont get me wrong, he has acted like a prick this summer. I think we will have him next year maybe two but that would be pushing it because he wants to have a chance to live his dream and i think if you have a chance to fulfil something you have dreamed about your whole life you should take it. will i begrudge him if he leaves next year or the year after that? No i wont, i would thank him for the years of service and wonderful football he gave us and then move on because we have seen big names come and go for years and if it has taught me one thing it is that nobody is bigger than United.

I will welcome him back to the club, of course, will i sing his name? to be honest i dont know yet, he owes us loyalty for getting behind him after the world cup but we dont owe him anything you might say. i will cheer him if he brings good football to the table for another season but if i will sing his name or not i just dont know.

That will probably sort his head out again and realises he has to and will play for Manchester United. It seems everytime he steps out of Manchester, his mind wanders off to Madrid.

He isn't a United lad born and bred. Regardless of adoring fans, team-mates and his boss, he'll never feel the same for the club like Wesley or Giggsy does. Madrid is apparently his dream club.
