Calderón started the meeting by saying that Real Madrid will have an impressive budget of €400 million for the next season, which was applauded by the entire boardroom.
:lol::lol::lol:
i can imagine how that wouldve gone

Calderón further added that Van der Vaart is on the brink of completing a move to Real Madrid, having revealed that the Holland international will arrive for a fee in the region of €6 million.

He went on to comment on the status of Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer, ensuring that he is tranquil over the success of the deal.

"Relax, he won't say no now. We won't miss on him. You can be sure of that. In ten or fifteen days we will arrive," Calderón said.

Not even Ronaldo's ankle injury appears to have cooled Real Madrid's interest in the Portugal international, with reports suggesting the Spanish champions to be readying an offer worth €85 million.

He also informed that Julio Baptista and Roberto Soldado are on their way out of Santiago Bernabéu and that their sales will help the club finance their bid for Ronaldo.

so he has a 400m budget but needs to sell 2 rubbish players to finance ronaldos deal ..

has calderon totally lost it

BBC News >>>>>>>Goal.com tbh.

And SAF >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>that lying, deceitful cnut, Calderon

(probably should have stuck a few more >'s in there, but you get the point)

goal dot fecking com. Spouts more shite than the Sun, Marca and AS put together.

Oh and can someone put that cnut Calderon out of his misery.... take a gun, point between his eyes from 5 feet away, pull trigger. Simple, quick and effective.

We can open it again at the end of the season again though i fear.
Sure, but at least then it's all out in the open and we will have time to plan for replacement.
I expect Ronaldo was worried he'd never have a better season than 2007/8 and wanted to leave on a high.
No doubt SAF has explained that there is a very good chance of repeating that level of success next season and that United fans will appreciate and expect his full commitment. If he leaves then, so be it. And good luck.

I bet ronaldo was shaking like a leaf before knocking on saf's office door in lisbon.

I bet his nerves werent helped when entering the room he was confronted with the spectre of saf, vidic and hitler.

Undoubtedly today's best Spanish press rumour is....

With Ronaldinho moving to Milan - Kaka's available.
Good luck with that, Madrid

In other gossip:
Madrid have got their bank loan arranged 70m (euros) to top up the 20m they had for shopping.
Doubts about them actually paying the loan back without going on a clearout sale are still being expressed, with dark murmurs of financial and footballing catastrophe.

And Calderon last night told the Madrid board that Ron's good as signed - 10 days and he'll be there (he says) and the board went on their hols happy (allegedly)

UPDATED ARTICLE

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted Cristiano Ronaldo will be at Old Trafford next season and will not be joining Real Madrid.

Ferguson confirmed he met Ronaldo, 23, in Lisbon last week following much speculation about the winger's future.

"The meeting went well - I think we both put across our points of view - where we stand and where the player stands," explained Ferguson.

"I can say he'll be a Manchester United player next season. He won't be sold."

United will hope that Ferguson's comments at a press conference in South Africa will put an end to rumours linking Ronaldo with a switch to the Spanish champions.

Ferguson added: "It?s not a difficult position. I was on my holiday and I was not going to interrupt my holiday, believe me.

"I wasn?t panicked because the player is under contract so the strength and the rights are with Manchester United.

"What we have done well is to say nothing. We?ve kept quiet on this matter and kept it private and what I said to Cristiano remains private.

"I did go and see him last week in Portugal and it was very amicable ? there were no problems. That?s where we are and we carry on."

Ferguson confirmed Ronaldo will be sidelined for three months following ankle surgery.

"I did go and see him last week in Portugal and it was very amicable ? there were no problems. That?s where we are and we carry on.

"He?s on crutches for the first four weeks, he?ll be in rehabilitation for the next four and then the following four he?ll be back into football training.

"The time mapped out is three months and we won?t bring him back a day earlier than that.

"I think when players have operations we have a responsibility that the player comes back 100 per cent and we?ll carry that out as we normally do.

"There?ll be no risk-taking ? we never take risks. Our goal is to always make sure that the player gets back 100% and that will be the same in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo."

Ron's doing his bit to keep the thread alive - remember the title:
ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

Well, the lad's still in LA (rumours of his departure after getting bored with the club and the city being mistaken ) and is doing better on the ankle injury rehab front - he's spent the day in the hotel pool (which I'm sure is a good thing, medically speaking, probably).

Good news is that he went to bed early last night, with an actress he was introduced to, lets hope he didn't do anything too strenuous.

In all seriousness, this is the best news I've heard in a while.

Ronaldo staying will be worth around £400 to me, which is pretty niiiice.

I had a bet with a scouser that if he stayed i'd get to see a pic of his bird's tits as he thought it was a dead cert that he was going :D

So how bad has Ronaldo been in this saga? Although he has handled his dream to play in Madrid next season badly, how much of this 'cnut' shouting is justified?

Is it mostly disrespectful fans creating this illusion of him being a cnut?

So we have confirmation that Ferguson met Ronaldo in Lisbon last week .
Good news regarding Ronaldo staying if it is true, but with Ferguson also confirming that Ronaldo will be sidelined for three months following ankle surgery it's not all good news. I was hoping that was a worse case scenario and he would be back sooner.

I think its good news hes out for a while. I think the crowd response to him would be very negative if he was playing in the opener against Newcastle.

I thought Ronaldo hates alcohol? Oh well

He's staying then, good news just to piss off Real Madrid, although Ronaldo is still a cnut. Doubt the fans will be against him though after he starts scoring a few for us next season again.

What you're asking is how bad is bad?

The second he backed up Blatter's comments was the second he crossed the line, IMO. Up until then I was prepare to give him the benefit of any doubt.

If he stays (and I think this saga is a long way from over) I'm not gonna be a twat and boo one of our own players but I won't be singing his name again. Not that he will be all that bothered, I'm sure.

Now there, is it all a HUGE misunderstanding, really. Those Ronaldo haters now, better stand behind the player and give him your utmost support. He needs to feel welcomed back and the fans are behind him. Not booing and whatever shit. I am sure with sincerity, we can touch his heart.
