Let's get this into perspective,

all that's hapened is SAF has told the disrepectful cnut to grow up and do the job he's paid for, at the the club who's paying his wage !

How all you lot can come out in support of him now, just does my head in !

The fecker STILL want's to leave !!

For fecks sake, are you blind ?

It's in SAF's words. .... I gave him my point of view and he gave his.

his point of view is he wants to leave !

open your eyes and see it for fecks sake.

I think its good news hes out for a while. I think the crowd response to him would be very negative if he was playing in the opener against Newcastle.

There is no doubt that's true. But three months is sometime October, that is a long time to be without our top goalscorer.

Indeed. So much for all the talk of player power, how the matter of 4 years left on his contract supposedly didn't matter, when a player wants to leave you have to sell etc. The club are rightly giving him short shrift, and the sum of his efforts this pre season has been to alienate and lose the support that once idolised him. Of course as you say, a few folk are still willing to bend over and present themselves for him, because they have no principles and are awesome mega supporters of 'CR7' etc. These are thankfully in the minority now

Out of curiosity, Brad, will you be pleased if he stays?

I will. But a lot less pleased than I would have been a couple of weeks ago.

If he wears the red shirt and does the business next season then i will support him, just like each and everyone of us should.

This however, does not stop him from being a massssssssive cnut.

I'm pleased we haven't sold him on for less than he's worth Pogue. In a perfect world, I'm not sure I would still want him at the club, even if that gives the lad what he wants. Its great to have such a fantastic player at the club, but we're Manchester United and we have and can attract many fantastic players

Now there, is it all a HUGE misunderstanding, really. Those Ronaldo haters now, better stand behind the player and give him your utmost support. He needs to feel welcomed back and the fans are behind him. Not booing and whatever shit. I am sure with sincerity, we can touch his heart.

Poor Ronaldo eh.

He'll just have to learn from Rio, how to get fans back on your side.

Somebody else will score. Players are likes buses - there's always another one due.
- except on that service that Scolari runs, bizarre timetable the've got there

In any case Ron didn't actually get a goal until the 19th September last season and only had two goals to his name before October. OK, both of those were the only goal in an away match (Sporting Lisbon and Birmingham) but what are the odds of losing twice to City again? Seasons never repeat themselves.

Thanks be to Fergie for sorting this Ronaldo situation out for the moment. He has persuaded him to stay here for next season and that is the most important thing to me right now. We could have done without all this nonsense right after our double. Now if/when the situation changes next year we should be better prepared for it. Continue scouting the world for talented young wingers just in case we need a new one.

at least as well Sir Alex confirmed the length of his absence as I reckon some people suspected he was taking the piss a bit. Wouldn't surprise me if Madrid made a final desperate more - and made a bid for him

If i'm being honest I want him to leave now. He won't stay for longer than one more season and I don't want a player at United who blatantly would rather be somewhere else. We won't get a better price for him than we will now either.

It doesn't matter what you want or any other fan, it matters what SAF wants. As long as he continues with his good performances then thats fine with me. RVN asked to leave twice before he actually did remember

What you're asking is how bad is bad?

The second he backed up Blatter's comments was the second he crossed the line, IMO. Up until then I was prepare to give him the benefit of any doubt.

If he stays (and I think this saga is a long way from over) I'm not gonna be a twat and boo one of our own players but I won't be singing his name again. Not that he will be all that bothered, I'm sure.
I heard you were a crap singer anyway Pogue, so thank feck for that

Still think he's a cnut, and I cant wait for the humiliation he will face from all sides this coming season...

Well that's just silly, not wanting the current best player in the world in the squad is cutting your nose off to spite your face, if you will excuse the cliche!

He's been a wally, but wanting him out of the squad is a huge over reaction

They talked, face to face. Ron apparently did what everybody and their dog have been asking him to do for the past two months and told SAF what he "wants" to happen. That is progress.

SAF and United should now know enough to plan their own approach.

Though actually the Spanish/Portuguese press seem to think United could/should have seen it coming months ago and that they chose to ignore it.

Also in SAF's words:
"I did go and see him last week in Portugal and it was very amicable – there were no problems. That’s where we are and we carry on."

My basic feelings on this haven't changed. I think for Ron the idea of a move to Spain was always a "one day, maybe in a couple of years," but that pressure from Madrid and his family meant that the, "Why not now?" question started to come up more often.

It's a tempting point of view - done it all, won it all, top scorer with United, records to his name. SAF needed to give United's answer to the, "Why not now?" question and hopefully it wasn't too late for Ron to hear it.

No we can't make the decisions but I still believe in certain circumstances we can still influence them.

We could but it would take something big.

Look at the Glazer takeover, how much the fans put in to protesting against that. Did it work? No

Call off the bernabeu invasion.

Theres no need to call in that favour from bush.

Saf can put away that pot of blue face paint.

So after all that, he's staying.

By Christmas, it'll be Viva Ronaldo again, and those who wanted him to leave, or said it'd be no big deal, are going to look like muppets. Just like they did after the 06 incident.

PS: I just wanted to add - feck YOU CALDERON! feck YOU BLATTER, and feck YOU SCHUSTER (sp?)

No, you are one looking like a twat here.

Predict Marca tomorrow

'we can confirm Sir Alex Ferguson is just saying Ronaldo will stay so that the Glazers can met Calderon' blah blah

We won't budge to unReal's foul play.

unReal never lodge a formal bid for C.Ron but instead they kept on bullshitting through the media.

They want us to first signal that we're gonna consider selling him. What that will do is play it into their hand because this will further unsettle CRon and they will end up coming with a low ball bid to prize him away from us.

That was a circumstance where the fan's to a certain extent were powerless because the club was a PLC at the time. There are situations where the fans can have influence and one of them I think is over the future of players/managers. That's not always a good thing though just look at Newcastle haha.

If your prepared to brush off his behaviour in the last month or so as just being a 'wally' then that's up to you. He's shown a total disrespect to the the fans and the club in my opinion. I'd agree that he's the best player in the world and the season he's just produced is probably the best i've ever seen in a United shirt it was a joy to watch.

But I think all this constant speculation over his future could potentially have a disruptive influence over the squad next season. And if anyone thinks it won't carry on is burying their head in the sand a little!

Well again that brings us back to the same point of SAF knowing best

and if he thought that was the case, he would sell Ronaldo

He is still a wanker, it doesn't change my opinion of him, if it mean willing him to do well in order for us to, then so fecking be it. I don't think United fans will be so fickle as to accept him back into their hearts ever again, he will be just a very good player in the long list of players to have played for this club.

Even if he became the best player ever; he won't be the first that i tell my kids about, he won't be the second or third - i wouldn't want them revering a self obessed ponce. And that is what it comes down to, he loves himself far more than he could ever love anyone else, even with Becks you knew where his heart was, this guy has all the talent, but not an ounce of sincerity - in that respect he will never branch out to the hearts of some football fans, ever.

I wondered why the Ronometer was freaking out this morning. Following Fergie's quotes, at last, from the horse's mouth we have some definitive news. It looks like he's here for this season at least. Still not 100% but looks good (or bad, as the case may be).
He's still a cnut!

So just to get this right - when did Ronaldo make his pitiful comments agreeing with Blatter? After or before meeting Fergie?

Oh I thought I read that he met Ronaldo last week. My bad.

BBC Sport say that but Fergie never actually said that. I think he was asked if he had met Ronaldo last Monday like the papers had said and he basically confirmed it

Spot on.
