Cause I'm fecked if I can. All I can find are third-hand reports. Very real chance he's been misquoted or a throwaway comment about Euro 2008 has been taken completely out of context.

The measure had been a precaution, however, and the winger looked fine during both sessions. He was not limping and did not appear to be in pain.
Amid widespread speculations about his future, Ronaldo has not announced where he will play next season. He did not talk to the media Monday and his teammates brushed off all questions on the subject.
"We are here to defend a country," Real Madrid defender Pepe said. "Cristiano knows this and he doesn't want the (speculation) to influence him."
Madrid was reportedly willing to pay a world-record transfer of about $120 million for Ronaldo.

Not for me he hasn't, or the vast majority of United fans I hope. He's not said anything to taint what has been a great season and one that wouldn't have been so great without him. You'd have to be a pretty fickle person for that to be the case, when we've won the Premiership and especially the Champions League for only the third time in our history, 50 years after the Busby Babes and 40 years after the first ever time on such a historic night and such incredible fashion...to feel that it's tainted by one player who hasn't done anything to deserve such criticism is in my opinion an exaggeration of epic proportions.
For goodness sake, get some perspective. I'm still overjoyed by what we have achieved this season! This type of success will not be there forever so don't overshadow it with all this (mainly) press talk.

I was saying that it is absolutely, terribly wrong to say that this Ronaldo saga has tainted us winning the Premiership and Champions League this season and anyone who thinks that Ronaldo's antics deserve to overshadow what has been a great season is very much int he wrong. You've highlighted where I have backed Ronaldo, and yes I do back him. But what I'm saying is that he has done nothing anywhere near as bad to say that it has tainted or overshadowed one of our greatest ever seasons and to think that is overreacting. I fully stand by that, you seemed to have completely missed that point which was the nucleus of my view.
