i really hate brittish people!!!
first he is a god and a hero and now(when he alone won the double) they talk shit about him...because he wants to leave the club....he said he wants to play for madrid one day cause it is his favorite club....he has a right to have an opinion...in the end he cant sell himself...the club will do that...so i dont know why are everybody talking shit...they should be thankfull and should feel lucky that a player like ronaldo even set foot in premiership and man utd

who gives a flying feck what you think you inbred prat if you think Manchester united is just british people. You ever considered the posibility your a bit thick and prejudiced?

Ronaldo has had the support of the players, management, supporters. He is under contract. If this was two years down the line with two years left on his contract. I don't think many people would have had such a problem. Ronaldo could and should have been open and honest and clearly he's alienated a large selection of united fans from all over the world.....so shut up trying to make out it's the brits you f-ing moron. It's people like you that are the reason such a thing as racism etc exists.

This is the thing, nobody actually really knows he wants to go there other than for the cash which United could either better, match, or cash in.

United holds all the cards here, it's a win/win situation either way.

Yes they could better, but they won't, otherwise it sets a dangerous precedent for future contracts. Ferdinand is just as important to us as Ronaldo, therefore they should be on par when it comes to basic pay.

Damn right we hold the cards, he is under contract at the end of the day and him saying he wants to go doesn't mean anything really, other than the fact he will lose a lot of respect by most Man Utd fans, which I think he has done anyway.

His quote on his team-mates making mistakes for the reason they lost last-night summed him up as a person for me.

For me the two things that will disappoint me the most about all this is if Ronaldo leaves, he will show he didn't have any faith in the future of United with the side we have now or the ability of this club and staff to make him the greatest player the world has ever seen, which is his ultimate dream, because him leaving will basically suggest he feels he will not achieve much more at United, than one champions league trophy and a few league titles and league player of the year honors. Which is both shocking & dumb

Then on a lesser note, he won't win world player of the year as a premiership player. Yet it is high time the best player in the best league in the world won the darned award.

other than the fact he will lose a lot of respect by most Man Utd fans, which I think he has done anyway.

How? By wanting what's best for his career and pocket? Some fans get way too emotional about these things. Do they really expect a young lad from a small Portugese island to be in love with Manchester United Football Club and behave like Giggs and Scholes have done (even Butt and P Neville had to asked to go, they wouldn't sit on the bench), have it in his heart? If they want that, then we should do an Atletico Bilbao and only field teams with players from Manchester and be done with it.

I see more comments popping up at the you-tude column.

Why the hell do people think of footballers as needing respect and loyalty? They are simply employees in this day and age, no different to you and me. Lacking respect and loyalty and trying to break a contract? You could say that he had a lot of respect by signing such a long term contract. McManaman is a player lacking respect and loyalty. A scouser fecking off for nowt?

No I certainly don't expect him to be in love with us, and he has always said it is his dream to play for Real Madrid and I understand that, it is just the way he has gone about the whole thing. He should have come out long ago and said he either wants to stay or wants to go, if it was the latter then yes we would have been disappointed in his decision but the fact he had come out and made a decision would have avoided all this fiasco and all this respect would not have been lost.

I don't think at the moment anyone can say too much because it's 50/50. If he stays great, if he doesn't we'll look to replace him but most people are more angered at Madrids behavior and the fact they're allowed to cheat in this manner and people say everyone does it. Madrid push the envelope further

Ronaldos an emotional lad so we'll see what happens. I think Sir Alex will go out of his way to keep the player and we have to accept that - but If Ronaldo does stay he will still give it his all on the pitch and that is the main thing.

erm...I think you'll find that's because they're fans

good point about Mcmananamanamanamanaman though

What a set of cnuts over here: upset that he would leave. These are Ron lovers; not United lovers. Let the arse feck off. We can buy players who are more committed to the club.

NOBODY IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB

Finally. Someone speaking some sense. I felt angry every time this cnut touched the ball last night, felt a sense of retribution when his team got turned over by Germany. Poor lamb had to walk off all alone.

Im fecking furious. RONALDO IS A cnut.

I just dont want him at Old Trafford next season.

Mourinho was right about Ronaldo, he is an unedifying classless cnut.

He should have come out about the whole thing? Why when he is probably trying to renegotiate his contract? He's said very little, and this International football crap hasn't helped matters, neither have the press (which too many people read and take as read). I personally cannot see what he has done wrong apart from trying to look after his own (and most probably his family's) interests.

Oi Begi2602, If you hate British people, then feck off and support some other club. And take your cnut with you.

liar, only after the CL final, you said you will stay, feck you Ronaldo.

With Ronaldo's cock so far down your throat, surely you must have chocked by now?

And he delivered the goods. They got what they paid for, so money and lungs well spent.

perhaps - but so did his team mates. This is going around in circles. I don't even deny him his dream if Madrid is where he wants to be but ffs, show some spine, son.

Correct, which is what he is waiting for from us most likely.

it's bloody obvious and i don't know why many people can't see it.

he never hid the fact that he wanted to play for Real and said it from day one. so if we really want him to forget his dreams, then there's really only one way to do it.

And he delivered the goods. They got what they paid for, so money and lungs well spent.

They paid him very, very well and stood by him when the rest of the country were wanting to lynch him. They shouted his name and stood by him when he wasn't getting it quite right for most of his first three years at the club.

That's why they're upset and that's why they have a good reason to be upset.

We should not be getting upset and all with Ronnie wanting to go to Real. We bought the lad on a cheap and should he go, we are gonna sell him for a huge profit. And furthermore, we had 5 great years with him. And many more to come with or without Ronnie.

Personally, I love our players BUT I love United more. And 70m looks like good business to me.

Even if he wants to leave, which looks it...

He won't be allowed. Fergie won't allow it, for the Glazers it'll be a sign of weakness if they cash in. and the mans on a 4 year contract.

The ball if firmly in our court no matter what.

What he has not done is showed any respect towards the club that has supported, paid, developed and looked after him for the last 5 years.

Whats the point in keeping a player who does not want to be at the club? We wont get the best out of him and his performances and value will decrease.

Spot on.

Also, at United he had all the team playing for him with our strikers Tevez and Rooney tracking back all the time to cover his arse.

At Madrid, I won t bet on the likes of Ruud and Raul doing that and at the end of the day he ll end up as Beckham, though Ronaldo is much better than Beckham ever was - but still imo he is over-rated.

I think its the moral value, United have never sold a player they wanted to keep. Showing Ronaldo the exit door would be a sign that United would cash in if the circumstances are right and that in itself might have a bearing of future transfers of say, Nani and Anderson.

I've had enough of Ronaldo transfer bollocks as much as the other fans, but i don't think United will cash in. Unless of course some astronomical figure from Madrid comes through, and i don't think they'll go £75 million -£100 million.

anyone who thinks this is purely about money needs seeing to - he wants to go and we should let the fecker go and make sure we get every penny upfront off the slimey bastards and make sure it's not a penny under 60m. Yep - I suppose that's a bit emotional but I've been a fan/supporter or whatever for nearly 50 years now and I do actually get a bit emotional about United believe it or not. Whether he wants out or more wonga, I don't really care. He's acted like the little whore that he obviously is. If you can reason and equate with that behaviour, good luck to you. I can't and wouldn't. Call me naive (even though I've been in business for nearly three decades) but that's not how I would handle it.

With the exeption that he's the best player right now and obviously I'd love to see the best players in a United shirt, especially after him being nurtured by Fergie and Carlos. So it hurts a bit if he would leave.
But we would move on and others would step up

If Real Madrid manage to get Ronaldo, its not because he's a portuguese lad and latin people prefer Real Madrid. Its because Real Madrid can buy the best players in the world, because they are the biggest club in the world (not sure if I agree on this). Thats the message I don't want to be sent.

United develops a player until he becomes the best in the world, then he moves where the best players in the world go. Thats sad that. We are the european champions what more do you want? Im confidentthat with Ronaldo, Ronaldo can challenge on being on par historically on the european scene with the likes of AC Milan and Madrid. And the exclusive best since the formation of the Champions League.

Still think United won't let him go. But things will get really messy now.
