That "no, not yet" bit DIRECTLY contradicts Ballague's "interview" which still is not available on AUDIO in spite of him promising it and him being a notorious liar and transfer muppet.

Who are we going to put more stock in? The Beeb and Ronaldo's own words after the game ("I stay") or Ballague's magic "transcript" where he specifically says the decision was made prior to the CL Final.

Someone is lying, I suspect I know who.

Both could be true IF...

Ronaldo has made a decision regarding a dream of a future for himself - but that dream is not the move to Real about which he is currently undecided.

Perhaps he wants to be known as Loretta from now on?

He wants to get funky with Nani, who is bad - so bad - he knows it.

He is also deeply depressed that Danny Welbeck is not his lover. He's just a kid he met at the MU Awards. And the kid is not Calderon.

Correct me if I am wrong, but in that interview it looks like Ronaldo is angling for a super rich marketing deal, and wants to leave for Madrid and that he is staying all at once.

Perhaps, since he's recently discovered what a w*nker Calderon is, he wants to see a video of Calderon m*st*rbating a young goat?

never going to happen unless adidas comes in with multi millions to assist Real. Nike want to market ronaldo even more and have a whole new line of clothing they want to have come out.

He will be at united this year and the next at least

Where is BahamaRed, seriously... im worried :smirk:

fecking SKYSPORTSNEWS are freaking me out - they are running this story big time.

My faith is wavering once more.

Hmm.

Seriously man, who cares if he leaves. If we can get a tall striker, we will be covered for the next season. Hargo can take the penalties and free kicks for us. Ronaldo can go and rot in real madrid. Clearly he dosen't want to be here, or else he would have said i am staying by now.

so by your logic, a tall striker is all we need?

I don't think he's a coward, its just that in all probability he doesn't know what he wants. The scenarios I believe are:
1) If he goes to madrid he'll come to regret it and wish he had stayed at united
2) if he stays united and wins it all again for consecutive years or whatnot will he come to regret it and think that he could've also acheived it all with madrid.

I think he's having a battle with his mind and heart right now with his heart swaying for madrid and his mind saying united.

Oh feck off .... he is a class a cnut.

Ronaldo, if you're reading this feck OFF to Spain. You have lost my support and most others.

He's a cnut!!!!!!111!!!

How could he betray us like this and leave us after only a year?

Or after the World Cup?

Oh, wait...he's still here. He's been here longer than Cantona was here.

Fkn Internet down for two days at home. Just came up. Rumours of my demise were greatly exagerrated.
However, I did watch the interview on Sky Sports and it wasn't good. He's gone in his mind. Sky had a banner running along the bottom saying "Christiano Ronaldo's Premier League Days Are Over". I have no reason to disbelieve the interview. The only drawback is if United will let him go. I expect discussions in Manchester over the next couple of days. The shit has hit the fan chaps and the ball's now in United's court.

In case there's any doubt........Ronometer says.....

I never said there was anything wrong in him wanting to play for the team his family or he supported as a kid.
As for your last sentence, we'd be much more "winners" if we kept a hold of him rather than selling him.

Did I say you were wrong in him wanting to play for the club he supported as a kid? I say it again, I dont think there is anything wrong in Ronnie wanting to play for the club he supported as a boy.

How can we'd be much more "winners" when we keep a unhappy player who may not give us 100% and may leave for free when his contract expires. Should Real offer a 70m bid, are we gonna throw it away?

I look at things this way, Ronnie have helped us to win titles and if he really wants to go that 70m will be great for the club because no player is worth that kind of cash.

12.24m ---> 70m.

That's a nice profit + a few trophies to boot.

I'd be upset to see him go, but that's not too bad either.

While I am not in the "Ronaldo feck off to Madrid and die" group I don't get this bit.

Guillem: You know that when you return to Manchester people will be upset with you

Ronaldo: But that will pass, a couple of good goals and people will be happy

This bit suggests that he thinks that if he stays all will be forgiven right off and once more he will become an Old Trafford favourite.
Does he not remember the stick Rio got, is he so full of himself, or does he just not understand or give a shit?

Thanks for the memories you ungrateful bastard but United will always live on and we'll continue to be successful whilst you're just another galactico in the revolving door of Madrid.

Come on United!

Come on! Ronnie is not ungrateful. The club paid him his wages and he deliveredfor te club. Really, he dont owe the club anything. Plus, if all this thing about him leaving is true, his sale will bring in a ton of cash.

At the end of the day, its business.

70m is not enough.
£100. No less. We have every right to ask for that. He's the BPITW. If Real can't afford him (and I believe Real have already promised him they can, which is why he did say earlier (which none of us believed) that he will go to Real if they put their £ where there mouth is)
That would soften the blow.
I don't really want him around any more. I have some doctor friends in a Manchester hospital (:nono:)

Ufff. More clearly can't be.

He speaks spanish pretty good. He says there that he thought before the champions league final his decision, he desires something that is a long time dream and he wont care if he bothers anyone and he didnt talk before cause he was playing the Euro and didnt want to distract the Portugal team. He also states that the move or his decision does not depend on him (its obviously cause he still has a contract)

Imo he wants the move and it doesnt care if he said himself "I stay" after we just won the Champions League final, it was probably said in a moment of joy and happiness. So lads its a matter of when he moves, we can hold him one more season due to the current contract but his mind is not at United anymore. Think about that.

Cristiano Ronaldo confirms 'great possibility' of move from Man Utd to Real Madrid

By Henry Winter in Basle

Last Updated: 2:30am BST 20/06/2008

Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United winger, said last night that "the possibilities" of a transfer to Real Madrid were "great", but that no announcement would be made for 48 hours.

Portugal bowed out of Euro 2008 yesterday, beaten 3-2 by Germany, after which Ronaldo spoke of his future plans and his need for a minor foot operation. Asked about a move to Madrid, Ronaldo replied: "The possibilities to go are great, but as I have always said it doesn't always depend on me.
"In the next few days we will see if we can arrive at an agreement. I have many desires and in the next few days they will become clear."
Madrid have been pursuing Ronaldo for some time, and may now launch a £50m bid for a player whose United contract runs until 2012. "I will make an announcement on my future in two or three days," insisted Madrid's No 1 target, adding: "I have had a small problem with my foot for about three months, so I am going to have an operation now."
Man Utd fixtures 2008-2009 Clearly distraught at the final whistle, Ronaldo headed straight down the tunnel at the final whistle, a real shame as two sets of competitors were embracing respectfully behind him. As United wait nervously for Ronaldo's announcement, the Germans look towards a June 25 semi here against Turkey or Croatia.

No, its 12.24m --> a bunch of trophies & European Cup --> 70m

Now, from a business point of view, isnt that a killing for United??

Look at it this way in 30 years time or so, Ronnie will be a memory but United the club will still be around, winning trophies and making profits along the way.

If Real is offering 70m and Ronnie wants to sample the Madrid lifestyle, I say sell him now.
