ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

It wouldn't be easy, but we'd manage. Just like we did when Cantona, Beckham, Stam, Ruud et al left.....We have more than enough quality in our team.

Difference is they were more than 27 and reached their highest level while Ronaldo is 23 and have many more years to play at his highest level.

I actually Ronaldo is what gives us the edge over the other top teams in europe. So its not really simple if it happened in the near future.

Exactly, we would struggle without him. There is nobody at his level right now.

Getting the money though in some ways would be a curse than a blessing for some of the reasons Count Duckula stated.

If say we went in for Arshavin who currently is worth £10 million, his club may want upwards to £20 million because they know of all the money United have recieved through Ronaldo.

Same with Hargreaves but this is different, you're talking silly money, world record transfer fee. If the player wants to go then we have to take it.

What a pisser!

I get your point, but we don't actually know how much Real are willing to bid - and there was also talk of silly money with Alves - especially if Chelsea's bid back then were to be believed.

This is all just very frustrating, we shouldn't fecking feel this way having the best player in the world and having just won the double.

Im going to bed, im too worked up to post a reasonable post. What winds me up More than anything is those utd fans that have almost been waiting for this day, he was always a cnut yada yada yada. Everything he's done forgotten. Its pathetic. fecking disgrace.

If the guy goes we were lucky to have him. Of course we'll move on but why cant it be an amicable parting?? Its not like we'll get shafted if he does go. You know who you are and you're a bunch of jokers.

if he stays and wins us another title these nuggets will creep back into the woodwork until their day comes...and shock horror it will come. How do we know this?? Because ronnie has been honest about it from DAY 1.

We wont get a lump sum anyway... it will be staggered payments, conditions...

Don't let the door hit you either

We should base the payments on his performances with the pissed up slappers of Madrid. We'd have our money by September.

Daniel Alves

He made it very clear that he wanted to leave - he stayed for another season because Sevilla didn't want to sell.

Fair enough.

I doubt Fergie would want a player amongst their ranks who has made his wish clear of playing for Madrid.

The difference here with Seville is the Fergie factor.

Hate the media bullshit not Ronaldo.
The more this sorry episode drags the more we turn on our most gifted player. But is the hatred rational?
Alright, his silence on the matter is disrespectful to the United fans who adore him, but he is human and a proffessional and if this course of action gets him the salary befitting the worlds best player then we have to respect that....the money grabbing cnut!...Shit! I'm doing it again.. (deep breath)Hate the media bullshit not Ronaldo.

Shit aint it

Our entirely accomplishments last season have been completely overshadowed by this crap. I can barely watch the season review now, knowing that the man that did so much more than likely doesn't actually want to be here anymore :(

Go and play on the M602 you cock.

I can't believe that everyone is turning against Ronaldo.

You should have seen the Portugal match thread. People saying how they can't wait to see him cry when Germany win, saying he doesn't play in Big games etc. You'd have thought it was a thread on RAWK.

It was a total disgrace.

Well mate, it's a natural reaction from footballs fans when someone they've loved and supported through a lot decides to betray that love and move.

In a way we shouldn't slate him for following his heart, that's what a lot of us are looking for in a player - but football fans are never rational, and all of this just sucks.
There's always polemic with Ronaldo

Personally, I'm not turning on him, but if he wanted to leave, he should have said that after the CL. This is dragging on way too long. I have no problem with any player attempting to leave in a fair and correct manner.

Reading abck over this page it sounds like something definitve has been reported, or near as damn it.

Is this so?

What's the deal, do tell?

That's exactly what's doing my, and I'm pretty sure everyone's else, head in. We deserve better from Ronaldo for sure, but then again it's not really about us is it?

I hope the club can somehow manage to delay his departure, even if it's only for a year.

No matter how do you feel about him, there's no denying that he's one of those once in a decade talents, and any team could do with that.

I think Fergie of all people is deeply upset and feels betrayed, he always speaks of Ronaldo like someone really close to him - take the long interview with Sky Sports after the CL finale, he kept going on about Ronaldo - both as a person and a player.

We will just have to wait and see what Ronaldo's decision is. I hope he talks to Queiroz and Fergie and makes the right choice. I want him to stay here desperately because he can achieve true greatness as a part of our team. We have helped to shape him into the player he is today.

If the worst happens, and that is looking like a definite possibility, we will definitely be acquiring another winger this summer. Manchester United is bigger than any player but Ronaldo's absence would be felt.

No

Ronaldo will announce his wish to move.

United will say he has a contract, and his not for sale, whilst negotiating with Madrid.

Players always get their wish.

Maybe in the end but not always. Look at our own from recent years - Ruud and Heinze. It would be different if they are fringe players or young like P.Neville, Butt, Rossi, and Pique.

We all know Ronaldo would like to play there, he's said it plenty of times, but I really don't think Ferguson will let him go just yet. Unless, of course, it benefits the club somehow.
