And on a side note: I hope he knows that he's at least partly responsible for the tarnishing of one of our greatest ever seasons. A couple of hours later we'll see a statement from United repeating their original statement about not selling Ronaldo

Realistically though, that'll never happen.
There's ways of going about getting a move and releasing information saying he wants to stay, then contradicting it, then keeping people waiting isn't a good way to treat people associated with the club. It's utter Bullshit.

That's an hugely important point. Last time Ronaldo wanted to leave Ferguson changed his mind The fans might want Ronaldo to go now but the manager is the one in charge and it will be a huge come down for Ferguson if he was to sell Ronaldo.

Nani will play in his place. It will probably take him most of the season to bed in properly, but I think he can be 70% of what Ronaldo gave us from the wing. The manager gets paid the big bucks to deal with this sort of thing. I'm sure he'll work his usual magic and keep us at the top.

Sure he is, he's been misused as a player. Back in Sporting days, Ronaldo was lacing Quaresma's boots. He's shown a good player in the Euros, and I'm sure Fergie would sort out any attitude problems he might have and whip him into shape
