i would wait for him to actually go before slagging him off too much, he could very well stay but i will admit it does seem likely he will go.
 
Ronaldo: Madrid ? A Great Possibility

The wonder-winger gave the strongest hint yet that he's looking to secure a move to the Santiago Bernabéu from Manchester United.

When asked by Portuguese sports website Record.pt about a possible future at Real Madrid, he replied, "The possibilities are great, but like I said it does not depend on me.

"Over the coming days we'll see if we can reach an agreement."

"I have many desires. Over the coming days, we'll see if we have news," he smiled.

Speculation will mount further after the player himself confirmed that he now has a firm command of the Castellano language.

"I can speak Spanish," he said. "And I'm always practicing English and French."

English could still play a role if he remains at Manchester United, and there he could well come up against former national team mentor Luiz Felipe Scolari, now of Chelsea.

"He will be my rival," Ronaldo said of this eventuality. "I'll want to win against him and he'll want to do the same against me."
 
I wonder why he says we'll see in the next couple of days? I mean the transfer windows open for ages yet. Strange lad our Ronny. Incidentally the key was 'future' - not automatically this season. If we say no, he'll start the season at United and probably leave in two years.

But I think Ronaldo has no problem staying, so nothing has really changed. It is up to madrid to make an offer and then we reject it :)

Additionally I think again, he's given madrid a little of what they wanted but not all. What he's said certainly won't reduce the amount Madrid would have to pay.

Don't know whether to believe that or whatever but the impact it would have on Nani/Anderson would piss me off some more.
 
It was inevitable wasn't it. He never looked committed to United. A player with that strong a desire to play elsewhere has to go, his hearts clearly not at United anymore.

1. He can feck off, he's a fecking ponce and greedy bastard and I'm tired of defending his antics, he's become too big for his boots, Madrid deserve him, facist pigs.

2. Where are the sources confirming this? Some credible like SSN, BBC, not some random Portuguese paper or Marca.
 
The club will do what's in it's best interest since we hold all the cards. We will make financial and footballing projections about his staying. If he is more valuable to us staying than leaving, he will be expected to honor his contract. If we get a deal worth more than the projections based on him staying, we will sell. It's very simple.

On one side you could think IF Ronaldo leaves "Well at least everyone else wants to stay" but then you just have to feel worried about the impact it will have on these two.

to be fair if he says he wants to go its pretty inevitable we will strike a deal with madrid at some point in the summer.

no in all seriousness, ronaldo was always going to leave. I distinctly remember how i felt when rio was caught at a restaurant with kenyon. I was shitting my pants because i did not want to see rio leave. Wazza the same way, if he were to leave. but ronnie, i don't have that same fear and worry. whatever happens will happen with ronaldo,no worries. I like ronaldo a lot, i support him when he plays for united, but we are bigger than any one player and in particular i think we will continue long term success with ronaldo here or not.

Yeah. SSN's breaking news strap line was Christiano Ronaldo's Premier League career is over.

But that's not the same as he's not decided yet. Confusing.

C'mon his heart clearly isn't in it anymore, he's gagging for a move. I hope we actually do sell now before his price drops. We got 4 years on his contract and are right in the driving seat.

Like always - it was the same thing 2 years ago - back then he also said he would like to leave, but he still ended up playing for us the next season.

what's with all the people trusting Balague over news reports with quotes saying he doesn't know yet? Plus there's the issue of the contract.

What Ronaldo said was vague - it could just mean he's gonna ask United if they want to stay, he didn't say he wanted to go which would be much worse.

Thank feck SSN isn't reliable anymore otherwise these reports would worry me.
