Does anyone else actually want him to go now?

Only if it is seen as absolutely necessary, ad as much as it it possible, it to be on our own terms.

He has acted the right mercenary or footballer for hire in rcent weeks, and ther are parallels with Beckham also.

If we are certain that these things are not going to change which is likely, he should be sold either at the end of next season or now IMO, the former probably. For it is my view that Sir Alex must bring in a replacement and that he have at least settled here in England [or shown signs that he will] before retirement.

I seriously do. He's gotten too big for his boots imo and if he doesn't leave this season, it'll the next, or the one after that...

I hate his selfish, 'me-me' attitude. The way, when he scores a goal he goes mental, but when someone else does he just slowly struts towards them. Look at the CL final... everyone's running towards the penalty hero VDS, but Ronaldo drops on the floor in a pile. That's selfish.

Anyways, I truly hope he goes now and that we get some mega bucks for him. I really, really hope we can snatch Benzema and build a team around our other superstar with god-given talents beyond belief, Wayne Rooney.

Nani can be made into something special.

Don't worry all this could just be a smokescreen. ;)
EXCLUSIVE: Kaka in Manchester; Ronaldo Speculation a Smokescreen

Kaka's projected move to Manchester United from AC Milan gathered further momentum when it was revealed that the real reasons behind his exclusion from the Brazilian squad was not due to injury but because he will be in Manchester over the next few days finalizing personal terms with the European Champions.

Dunga, the Brazilian coach, has excluded Kaka from the Brazilian squad for upcoming World Cup qualifying games against Paraguay and Argentina. The Rossoneri star is reportedly recovering from having arthroscopic knee surgery in Rio de Janeiro on May 23.

"We decided to spare the player, who is recovering," Dunga said. "His participation in those two games would be premature."

However insider sources in the Brazilian camp reveal that the real reason behind Kaka's exclusion was that he will be in Manchester over the next few days finalising personal terms and would miss the first Brazilian training session which has angered Brazilian coach Dunga.

This news will no doubt anger a Milan board whose hands are already full trying to negotiate a deal with UEFA that will allow them to participate in next seasons Champions League.

Meanwhile insiders at United are still confident that Ronaldo will be staying at United for many years to come. In fact a source close to Old Trafford says that Ronaldo has been instructed to create this transfer speculation as Sir Alex Ferguson wants to use it as a smokescreen in his attempts to sign Kaka. "Basically Ronnie has been told to create the Madrid stories and feed the media because it will divert the attention away from our projected move. Sir Alex knows it's difficult for United fans but is confident signing Kaka will be more than make up for it.", the insider revealed.

And the move seems to have worked with very few media sites picking up the story but that will all change over the next few days.

Actually, no - he has been portrayed as behaving like that - there has been no concrete evidence of him wanting to leave this summer or demanding more cash with menaces.

didn't he say that he wanted to go to Real after World Cup drama? and he ended up playing here and bagged the trophies. Take the media shits a grain of salt....:annoyed:

Kudos to whoever continues to write "stories" about Kaka. It makes the summer more interesting..luv reading fanfiction

Cristiano Ronaldo has again shed some more light on his future this week, according to sources Ronaldo was overheard speaking to his Manchester Utd team mate, Wayne Rooney on the phone last night.

Rooney had called Ronaldo, to wish him luck ahead off this months European Championship which kicks off today. According to the source who was with Ronaldo at the time of the phone call, Ronaldo clearly stated to Wayne Rooney "I'm staying, don't worry".

are you for real....:boring:

A bizarre image that someone has just email'd to me. From today's Portugal training session apparently - 20,000 fans wanted to watch. Ron is thought to be feeling the pressure a bit at the moment, but I really think they've gone too far trying to cheer him up this time.

70 virgins eh. Where've I heard that before.

That is a pretty stupid conclusion to make. He probably dropped to the floor because he was so relieved that his missed penalty didn't cost us the trophy.

And to those saying he's acted like a cnut, demanding more money: WE HAVE NO REAL CONCRETE PROOF THAT IS WHAT HE IS DOING. ALL WE ARE DOING IS SPECULATING.

Does anyone else actually want him to go now?

At first I thought yes, been fed up with him flirting about his future eventhough he clearly inisisted he would stay.

Then after watching him play for Portugal yesterday I remembered how fecking good he was and changed my mind. He needs to stay for his sake and for ours...I hope he realises this.

That's kind of how I've been feeling.

I never actually wanted him to go, but, if I wouldn't have been massively bothered if he had (providing we got a shit load of cash), but, having watched the game last night, it just reminded me how much I enjoy watching him, and how much I want him to stay.

If he hasn't been angling for more money, and he isn't going aywhere, then how do you explain his actions this past fortnight? What the hell has been doing in your opinion?

So...
He says he's staying (though in the future at some point he may go elsewhere - he's said it for years).

His mum says he's staying.

His pal Nani says he's staying.

Sir Alex Ferguson says he's staying.

David Gill says he's staying.

Neil Custis says he's going.

Juan Calderon says he's going.

I see how you could all get so confused.

Guys, sources that say Ronaldo will stay are more reliable because they would not be made by the Real Madrid propaganda machine and they are not interesting for the rest of the footballing world and thus not sell as much... or so I want to believe. Ronnie is vital for THIS United team, he has to stay.

Training for the European Championships?

In a way, I agree with this, but is it so difficult to end this speculation. Actually by coming out and saying that he'll stay the media will leave him alone to train for the Euro.

Yep.

Cue the self-righteous pitch-fork brigade getting all high-holy about a definitely-not-at-all-fabricated conversation with an Eskimo Cling Film Magazine.

In the past, he's said he'll stay many times. It has never stopped the media from putting out stories of how he wants to leave the next day. He might just be sick of dealing with them.

He's said over and over he'd stay.

He's also said that you never know what will happen in the future and he did dream of playing for them when he was young, but that dreams do not always come true.

Pretty much the same stuff he's been saying since he was CERTAINLY out after going to the Olympics in 2004.

And then there was when he was CERTAINLY going to leave after the 06 World Cup.

2 of the 5 most popular threads in Caf history have to do with Ronaldos future, and this is the most popular ever.

No surprise he is the most popular and best player in the world

Anderson is supposed to be going to the 2008 Olympics and we all know that he wasn't 100% fit this season.:p

That so? You see it is jsut, and do forgive me if i am mistaken on this, that you said these words not all that long ago >>

How do you square that circle?

Is one not allowed to make a stupid comment or two in preparation for a game?

No one has denied he's been acting silly with a couple of his comments, but they're basically the same as he's made before when angling for a new contract.

He's also reiterated several times that "I'll stay".

He's certainly not said a lot of the things attributed to him in print (JUST LIKE IN 2006), and I have serious doubts that he would make a definitive statement via a printed interview with a Brazilian newspaper reporter in MADRID - who was on MadridTV within an hour of their "exclusive".

You lot are lapping it up.

I'm sad to see some fairly decent posters and even one of the mods caught up in this insane teenaged drama-queen paranoid menstrual fit.

All this unrest is being caused by Real Madrid the assholes have absolutley no morals, they are waving these euros in front of Ronaldos nose in order to unsettle him, they also have their media wing in full swing(Marca). however, I doubt he will risk losing this. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/sport/article-23491514-details/Real+move+would+scupper+Ronaldo's+25m+Nike+deal/article.do
feck Real Madrid what does he want to go there for? Who knocked them out of last years champions league? Roma, our bitch knocked them out thats who. So forget about the reports, Ronaldo will get a pay hike at United and he will have to extend his contract by a year or 2 because of that, which is only right.
he is going nowhere just ask SAF. He is already making his u turn by saying that he has not decided yet even though he is supposed to have said he wants to play at the Barneyboy. Give him a week(or maybe after the Euros) and he will be saying he told everyone in Moscow that he was staying. He is under contract.

People really should stop believing what they read about this whole saga, positive or negative. Especially when the stories are reported by Spanish based media with relation to Real Madrid.

Top you could you please sum up this thread in one funny gif?
